Apple Tree Park Caravan & Camping Site
Lovely spot, nice residents, green space for kids, lovely static caravans inc bottled gas central heating, good utility block, owners are helpful, some great stores nearby for provisions, good access to motorway and whilst you can hear the woosh as background it's not intrusive and reminiscent of the sea. A good base for holidaying and a nice place to live.

Really poor response to Covid cancelations, no contact, no email. When I called to enquire about rebooking or refunding I was promised multiple times I would get a call back for a refund but this never happened and all email contacts were ignored. Really poor customer service and attitude

Had a lovely time here, family friendly with a lovely little play area, orchard, barn & lots of green space. Toilets and showers very clean. Cafe was also inviting and served good food. Made to feel very welcome.

Anyone thinking of buying a park home from here, please be very careful. The owners of the park are very happy to take your money, but once they’ve sold to you they have no interesting in any problems you may have. Be aware that when you sell, you will have to pay 15% commission to them plus VAT. The services they provide are extremely poor. Expect to wait for up to 3 weeks for new gas bottles and be prepared to look at overflowing refuse bins daily.

Nice tidy site, well kept. Good sized pitches. The shower/ toilet block was clean. Well located for exploring the area. Decent views (if you get a pitch higher up the site).Dog friendly which is great but no dog exercise area, I often had to do a few laps of the site (perhaps the walled corner next to the entrance could be made into a secure dog area? Would be nice for my dog to properly stretch his legs without having to leave the site). As others have mentioned, the site office rarely has any staff (in fact I only ever saw one member of staff the whole time I was there). As I was already staying in the area I popped in twice while driving past to enquire about booking a pitch here, both times the office was closed and I couldn't find any staff. Ended up phoning them (got through eventually). On arrival again no staff in the office (which was closed at 1pm, when most people start to arrive!). During my stay I noticed a few other people in the same situation (office closed on arrival, and they couldn't find any staff). Eventually a man did appear but it's not a great first impression having to hang around waiting for 5-10 minutes. To sum up, a lovely site that I would recommend but a lack of service is disappointing.

Stayed here April 2016Location:Good for a 1 night stop-over but the down-side is the continual noise of the M5. I can’t say Stroud has ever been on my “Bucket List” and really not much else going for the area unless you like bird watching at Slimbridge. The Experience:On arrival, we were met by a staff member who was very anxious to take our payment for the remaining balance we owed. The barrier was raised and I was guided in to park outside the Reception. Now, bear in mind I had the sun visor down (due to the blinding sun) and therefore had a restricted view. Said staff member beckoned me through the barriers WHISLT STANDING DIRECTLY UNDER THE HEIGHT RESTRICTION BARRIER that was obscured from my view. You can imagine the ominous clattering as the roof aerial hit the ground, both roof skylights and the heating flues were shattered and the rear caravan panel was almost peeled off. The roof now looks the flight deck of HMS Ark Royal with skid marks from the black and yellow tape that WAS once on the barrier. Think yards of squashed wasps and you’ll get the picture. It’s not a pretty sight. Her reaction? “Ooops, I should have told you about that, shouldn’t I”. Giggle, giggle. Yes dear, I think you should have. Her colleague / husband’s reaction? “Well, it’s happened before, it’ll happen again”. That’s a great comfort to me, thanks. Not a sign of concern or taking any responsibility in evidence between them. Avoidance of litigation was more in evidence. Not the ideal start to a weekend. At this point I’ll reiterate others’ comments on the owners being conspicuous by their absence. Mind you, having been to some degree responsible for nearly ripping the roof off our caravan perhaps keeping a low profile was considered the best way to avoid any further conflict. Or culpability.Curious to assess the actual damage done I went to ask the owners if they had any step ladders available. Nobody at the reception, as usual, so I phoned one of the mobile numbers provided. “Oh no, we haven’t got any step ladders or anything of that nature that you could use” I was advised. What the chap didn’t realise was that I was peering behind the reception block at the time and there, in all their glory, was a set of step ladders. This didn’t add to my opinion of the place as a whole. This site seems to be resting on the laurels of previous owners. Will I ever go back? I’ll leave that for you to guess. 1 star rating as I couldn’t give a zero.

A great, quiet site. Not a site for those who want a club house or entertainment but for us who like peace and quiet it's spot on.Only a few minutes from the motorway but I can't say we've noticed any particularly invasive traffic noise.

Site itself was fine with good facilitees, but the service needs much improvement. When arrived at the time that we had said we'd be arriving, the office was closed and the mobile number on the window didn't connect due to no phone signal. Then were charged a price more than the website rates quoted and when I quered this next morning, assuming it was an error was told that the website must be wrong and basically tough. We won't be coming back.
