As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer I have to say YWB is not only one of my favourite but also one of the best local wedding venues. The location is stunning with tons of gorgeous outdoor space offering so many creative possibilities for your wedding phtos.Indoors, the venue itself is equally as stunning. There is scope to make your wedding exactly what you want at YWB. Definitely one to put on the list to check out and a venue I look forward to returning to very soon.

An amazing development, formerly a farm. Several million must have been spent. The rooms were special, the wedding barn was very special and the food was delicious. We'll done.

What an amazing venue to cater in!! The facilities are one of the best I’ve been to! Plenty of space everywhere. The kitchen area was great! The venue staff were friendly!

Amazing venue and had an amazing time at my nephews wedding.Let down only by being unable to provide a gluten free breakfast even when they order it in from another supplier. Our breakfast consisted of 2 bowls of watermelon and a small bottle of Tropicana orange juice each. Hardly a continental breakfast?Think venue could do more to provide for dietary requirements.

Visited as guests at a wedding and what a remarkable place. You'd be lucky to spend time here at a wedding event. Stunning place.

The Yorkshire wedding barn is an amazing wedding venue. As a wedding photographer we get to see many of the country's best locations and this is definitely one of our favourites. The scenery surrounding the barn is absolutely unrivalled and makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. The rooms for the preparations are stunning and have amazing light for photos. We love that you can have an outdoor wedding ceremony too.The venue is so well run and nothing is too much for the lovely staff. The food and hospitality is on another level. The attention to detail and level of this service really makes The Yorkshire wedding barn one of our favourite venues. If you are looking for a wonderful barn wedding venue in Yorkshire, it has to be The Yorkshire Wedding Barn!

Beautiful surroundings, views are stunning and the decor inside is fab. One of the best venues I've been to for a wedding! The outside areas are great too if you get good weather.

Beautiful location, lovely barn unfortunately could not use bath or shower as it had been blocked by previous occupants. Oven trays hadn't been cleaned but one phone call and staff were there quickly and trays cleaned.

A beautiful venue and a great setting for a wedding, though from our experience does not have the staff to match it, which is a crying shame.I'll start with the positives, the venue and accommodation itself were absolutely stunning and everyone who attended the wedding commented on how beautiful the site is and what a lovely feel it has around the place! When we first came to see the venue as a potential site we were shown round by one of the owners, Mandy, who was great with us showing us all the facilities. We were especially happy to find out we could bring our dog as she told us that wouldn't be a problem, which was a big deciding factor for us. My wife visited a few times after we had selected the venue and was introduced to her wedding planner for the day and everything was going well in the lead up.However, this is where the issues start, we were not told until a week before the wedding that only certain accommodations were dog friendly and that we would not be able to have our dog with us in our bridal suite, though we felt it was fairly obvious at the time when being shown round if we brought our dog that he would indeed be staying with us in the bridal suite as we are the bride and groom. We managed to come to a solution and my sister managed to book a Shepherd's Hut last minute at an extra cost in order to be able to have our dog with us on the day.Further to this when we arrived the night before our caterers discovered one of the large fridges provided on site was not even working and the venue had been aware of this for 2 weeks and had not fixed this or got a new one! Our caterers then had to improvise as they had food for over 140 people to keep refrigerated in one of the hottest weeks of the year with one major fridge down, not ideal to say the least. We also discovered arriving the day before that our wedding planner had changed, but were not informed and she did not come to speak to my wife on the day regarding what was happening until 11:30 when the wedding started at 1pm!We then had a wonderful ceremony, photos, drinks and meal, until disaster struck again and one of the catering companies ovens broke, (not the venues fault) right as all the main courses were being done which added an extra hour on to our schedule pushing the evening back an hour. However, our caterers were amazing and managed to deliver beautiful food despite the oven breaking.Unfortunately, due to this delay we were behind the rest of the night and found our new wedding planner in particular was rude and short tempered with almost everyone from then on, she rushed us in to our cake cutting and first dance which a lot of people missed due to this, including my mum (who was absolutely gutted). Our caterer actually refused to say what the stand in wedding planner said to her when discussing the broken fridge, which tells me it can't have been anything nice!On to the evening do and what a time we had, everyone absolutely loved it apart from the fact we were told we couldn't open the bi-fold doors to cool everyone down due there being other bookings on site for the holiday cottages even though the temperature must have been 35 degrees inside. TOP TIP DON'T BOOK EXTERNAL BOOKINGS WHEN YOU HAVE A WEDDING ON THE SAME DAY EVERYONE WAS SOAKING IN SWEAT BY THE END OF IT IT WAS RIDICULOUS.I've saved the best complaint until last and this is one anyone booking will want to read. The final complaint we have, which for me sums the whole attitude of how this venue is run is that my father-in law had to put down security deposits for certain things accommodation etc which is to be expected. However 2 months later and he still hadn't received his deposits, he rang up this week to get an update only to be told that they don't send deposits back unless people call and ask for them". I mean the pure cheek of it

We have recently been guests here for a good friend's wedding. The venue itself is set in beautiful countryside and the barn is in keeping with the surrounding area. The food and drink at the wedding breakfast were great, as was the service. We stayed in one of the cottages where lies my only complaint. We were looking forward to the hot tubs while staying for two nights, however we were bemused by the log burner" heated tub. After 4 hours of fire the tub was still ice cold. This was a massive let down
