Direct Window Co Preston

My farther got three door from them in 2021 he is now 95 one door has never been right even after numerous call out. The last time they told him it was the wind that was causing it too hard to close and there is nothing wrong with them .The door has got that bad he has locked himself out , they now won't come unless he pays £75 call out because he thinks its the lock . He was looking to buy windows but if that is custom service they can forget it.

We have just had 2 composite doors and 10 windows fitted by Direct Windows. The experience from start to finish has been first class with a no pressure sales visit from Matthew who came up with ideas and recommendations to help us choose. Then came the surveyor who tweaked one or two things to our satisfaction.They were fitted 2 to 3 weeks later by an excellent fitting team who were very tidy and polite and did a fantastic job.The windows and doors look amazing and are of an excellent quality. I cannot recommend the composite doors highly enough. I highly recommend Direct windows.

We had a new back door installed recently; the service was great in the showroom (no gimmicks to try and get you to buy the most expensive product, just straight to the point), they continually kept us up to date about the delivery (only took about 2 weeks) and installation, and the installation was also really good (quick and completely cleaned up all the mess so it looked like the door has always been there).The door cost half the price of the same one a family member had bought last year from a different company and is exactly the same quality. We will be looking to use them again for another door sometime soon.

Went into the Preston showroom to discuss my requirements for a quote for a full house window and bi-fold door replacement, I was told that if I wanted a supply only quote I would have to email head office as they wouldn't take my requirements in the showroom. I went to another supplier who was happy to quote. I can't imagine what the actual window service would be like if they can't be bothered quoting.

Replacement Sliding Patio Window: We recently had a large replacement sliding patio window/door fitted by Direct Window Co, an organisation we have used on a number of occasions before (contract HE64198). It took a while between our order of the window and the actual installation, mostly for reasons beyond DWC's control in terms of availability of materials, etc. However, the actual installation was done very quickly and professionally and we are very happy with the end result. The installation date was postponed a few times, but the communications on this from DWC were generally very good. Overall, we continue to be satisfied with the service from DWC and would use them again.

The initial service was good. A lock collapsed after 14 months. Direct windows wouldn't help as out of warranty...the fact that they only cover for 12 months and that we are having issues after 14 months speaks volumes about the quality. Although we accept that they are out of warranty. Our biggest issue is the customer service. We spoke to Julie who was passive aggressive, rude and really in the wrong job. We spent £12,000 with them and to be spoken to in such a manner was really unnecessary. Julie doesn't really appreciate that it is us customers that keep her in a job. I will be making our experience of the after service well known, and advise people to spend your money with a company who values your custom.Reading the other reviews suggests that we're not the first ones to be spoken to in such a manner.

Absolutely SHOCKING company I would stay well well way! Direct Windows came to FIX our bi fold doors and instead smashed the glass of my bifold doors!! It has now been 2 weeks and on multiple occasions we have booked time off work for them to come and fix them and each time they haven’t turned up and haven’t even bothered to let us know! I am due to have my house photographed by an estate agent on Friday and YET AGAIN today they haven’t turned up and say they have no slots the rest of the week. I now have no choice but to have photos taken with smashed doors - SHOCKING service I am disgusted.

This company are professional, reliable and very competitive.From quote to installation the process was absolutely faultless.Nothing is too much trouble for this company and they totally exceeded our expectations.Do not read to much in to the negative reviews on here as they are not complicit with the experience that we had.We are really happy with the door design, supply and fitting service, so much so that we will be ordering our conservatory through them next year.The fitter was professional and very experienced, it took him less than 2 hours to remove our old door and fully install the new one including all the new trims and step etc.They even took our old broken door and returned our sign that was stuck to it through the post.If I was asked to score this company out of 10 it would be 10 as it was perfect.Thank you and we will be using you again.Mr & Mrs Woods

I contacted this company for some windows for my garage.I was greeted with an attitude of not wanting to do business.I would not recommend them as they seem to feel that they are above going to any trouble not a customer focused company.
