I have usually travelled abroad via their Terminals 1 & 3, but this time, I had the opportunity to go via Terminal 2. It is quite different: less crowds, cleaner, quieter and pleasant. On the other hand, I am quite used to the hustle and bustle of busier airports, hence, felt a little bored. Many food/coffee/sales outlets were closed as well. Managed to find a coffee shop (Pret a Manger) and relaxed for a coffee after a brisk and simple check in and an equally simple security check.I arrived here quite early, and so, had to kill over 3 hours before my flight.

Better than expected cycle facilities at Manchester Airport rail station. Sturdy and covered racks, along with maintenance tools and track pump just outside. Gentle ramp down to the platforms as well as lifts.

Efficient airport ,clean and well sign posted.Good transport integration, longish walk to rail station but new moving pavements coming soon .Sign posting for pedestrians walking from hotels could be better

This was a fantastic station for departure, with a large entry area linked to the bus station! The access is easy between floors using the walkways and escalators, signs help navigate around too. Departure boards are in real time, platforms are well sized and cleanliness had been enforced!

It is a lamentable airport which offers a disgracefully tatty welcome to visitors - and UK citizens. Most areas are scruffy, there are difficult stairs for arrivees - you arrive at ground-level, passport control is at ground-level - so why all of the stair climbing and descending? On the positive side, staff are friendly and helpful, especially at passport control.

The security process in T1 is terribly outdated compared to many EU airports. All 100 ml liquids have to fit in ONE small ziploc bag, makeup products are included as well. Electronics have to be kept out on a tray. Best carry minimal checkin bags as managing multiple trays alone is difficult in this crowded busy room. Security personnel were nice, but the experience was a nightmare as a first timer in this airport.

A mix of an experience - the airport station is walking distance from the airport itself. The station is supremely clean, although the staff might be a little too rude to tourists. It might take a new person sometime to understand where to reach and how to reach, but the Mancunian folks are very helpful.

Sadly, still one of the worst airports in Europe. Considering the amount of money they generate from car parks and drop offs, the place is still poorly organised. The forced walk through the duty free has to be the most brain triggering experience ever! Super bright white lights, mirrors and a plethora of staff all watching you as you try and get from one side to the other without it all triggering a seizure.Like others, we only use the place due to its location near to home.

Where to begin? I'm just going to spam points here... Connecting flights have you exit the terminals and must go BACK through security. Walking from Arrivals to Terminal 1 was a very long maze. If you have any difficulty moving around, go ahead and ask for wheelchair assistance because it's a hike. Terminal 1 was not labeled appropriately. My fellow travelers and I were treated like cattle going through security. It was utter chaos. Your belongings get mixed in with others and if you have more than one bin, you will be uncomfortably distant from your luggage. To get to the gates, you are forced to maze through shops and get approached and spammed with offers. Automated walkways were not in operation. You also cannot use luggage with wheels on them lol? Gate numbers are not provided until shortly before flight occurs. You are told to relax" (see attached photo) which really means "please don't wander too far from the shops in the center.""

A really good experience visiting Manchester for a few hours the staff are from and there is plenty of signage around the station which helps you get to where you need to like any of Manchester airport terminals or where the exit is and it is simple to follow all the signs
