In a good position and easily accessible. It's now available 24/7 which is better than having set opening times or contacting someone to request access. Toilet facilities are nearby in the Newtown National Trust car park area. I have attended some interesting walks and talks jointly run by Solent Aware and the National Trust for bird watching. Lots of different seasonal birds within good viewing reach (with binoculars), especially through the winter at low tide. There is also access, via steep steps, to an upstairs room that offers an elevated view across the marshes. Lots of books and poster's covering the majority of birds, butterflies etc laid out for reference.

Great spot to duck out of the rain and lovely to be able to watch the gulls in an undisturbed and unobtrusive way. Will be great when the upper deck is opened and books useable again.

This is a beautiful place, a unique bird hide that feels more like home. Set on two levels, it has windows all around. Inside you can find books, chairs, binoculars and a lot of information about the local wildlife. It’s not open all the time, but you should be able to get in on most daylight hours.

don't hate it is wonderfull place but the meadows have been destroyed by cattle being left out there to long in all this wet weather smells like,a stinking slurry pit out there sink up to your ankles in mud thought it was a nature reserve not a farm so sad to see all the meadows spoilt like this not worth a visit at the moment

Worth the short walk from the parking spot. Saw a Kingfisher, seals, Egrets and Oystercatchers. No Eagles today, but had a lovely chat with one of the National Trust workers there who handle the releases and this is the place to see them in the summer.

Although by no means a practiced birder I can say that this is sited in a beautiful place and the structure seems solid and well maintained with good, and easy, access along a well maintained path from the road. The presence of a National Trust visitors centre with parking, toilets, and tea and coffee facilities about a ten minute walk away is welcome especially if you're planning on an extended visit.
