Had a great experience buying my first car, was made to feel welcomed and not pressured at all. We were assisted with everything from warranty to road tax. Car was spotlessly clean and is in great condition for a used vehicle. Price was best I’ve seen on the market after shopping around. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a used car.

Terrible experience throughout, avoid at all costs. Recently bought a 58 plate VW Golf GT from this company and although the car was rough on idle when on the test drive and a prominent rocking was present throughout the vehicle, I was assured this was because it had been sat for a while, giving him the benefit of the doubt I went onto the purchase the vehicle. Upon transferring the funds I was then informed someone he knew had put petrol into the tank as opposed to diesel. He assured me, upon instruction of a VW specialist, that the car had be flushed with premium diesel and would only need a fuel filter change to rectify the rocking and rough idle. A week and a fuel filter later the issue was still present. I contacted him to see if he would help to sort the issue, to which he seemed very reluctant and felt I was being lead down a garden path based on what my garage thought the issue was. After persevering and constant back and forth he agreed to have the car back to “see what he could do”. After having the car 5 days, there was no sign of a diagnosis or any update. He agreed it was the issue my garage flagged after having to chase him for an update, he said he would get the issue sorted by the end of the week. I was then informed he ordered the incorrect part for the vehicle and would have to keep the car for an additional week. Again, having to chase for updates and information we arrived the following week to find the car in the garage with the mechanic still looking it over. Reportedly, it was having an oil change. He then disappeared in the vehicle to “collect the engine cover that was 5 mins down the road” and upon return we negotiated a cost for the repair (which should’ve been covered by himself as he incorrectly informed me of the issue prior to agreeing the sale) and I went to set off. Upon starting the car the issue was 10 times worse than when I left it, to which I decided I cannot keep the car and wanted a refund, within the statutory 30 day period. I was informed that there would be “admin charges” which equated to near on £800 which is ridiculous. Later ON THE SAME DAY I came to find that the car has been re-listed back onto Auto Trader and the companies website, for £5650, when it is clearly unfit for resale. I would NOT recommend buying a car from here.

The car I bought was in solid condition (apart from the tires), had low miles and was at a good price point. Friendly bloke there gave me a chance to look and drive the car at my own pace. However, the tires were in unacceptable condition, where three needed replacing soon after I bought the car. As a recently passed driver, I was unaware beforehand of how bad the condition was until a mechanic told me it was serious (one got a puncture because of deep cracks). I saw physical confirmation of recent service but non for the cars MOT - I took the sellers word, which was that it was. Despite this, when I had my tires replaced, I told Pegasus Motors and they reimbursed me. Therefore, understand that you can get a good deal for a good car , yet their may be some cutting of corners which you need to be in mind for.

Great experience from start to finish. Fantastic customer service from Jay. We’re very happy with the car. I need to mention the excellent after care as Pegasus repaired an issue with the car that arose after we had made the purchase very professionally and without hesitation. I would definitely buy another car from Pegasus motor cars.
