Church of Mary, Mother of God

My main experience is of the Friday Lunch where I had been often insulted with lukewarm food and no particular Vegan Choice. Others often complained to me that their 'Fish and Chips' were 'Stone Cold' but instead of telling the 'Staff' (mainly Black) this they told me as if they expected me to do their 'Dirty work' and pass their 'Complaint on' or is it the 'Classical We can't and we must not say anything against Black People for fear of being Classified as a racist

Roman Catholic church of Mary Mother of God My Church please come along to worship with us everytime our Parish church open every day walk in talk to God He will hear you . God answer prayer.

Rudest priest who doesn't practice what he preaches. I am 15 years in the parish and drive an hour to my old church every single week and holy day. If Fr. John had more tolerance and a better understanding of the church's teaching, he would have a happier cingregation!

Father John is the worst priest I have ever met! My son goes to this school yet he is still very rude. He refused to give me the bread of Christ two times!!! He is obnoxious and rude and is not a priest at all! It's a joke, all priests should welcome anybody who is willing to want to get the bread and pray within the church.He actually refused to give me the bread two seperate times, I was so embarrassed as I had a large queue behind me, never has this ever happened to me in my life.This man is not a priest at all!How has he been here that long it's a joke.

My local place of worship. Clergy are welcoming and approachable. Church is beautifully decorated, clean and strict covid restrictions are in place .

Beautiful church, lovely friendly experience, wonderful little catholic shop inside.

Moved from this area last year and miss this church immensely. The services were very well attended and spiritually uplifting with a friendly and comforting atmosphere. This was owing to Fr. John who is deeply spiritual himself, gives interesting talks and homilies, is hard working but stands no nonsense. In all a lovely church and a wonderful parish priest.

Been meaning to write this review for a VERY long time! My first time walking into a church since I was a child as my Mother converted to another religion. I have children of my own now and I was keen to find a church for my children and I to attend. Fr. John was absolutely disgusting to say in the least! Where on heavens earth did they find such a man??? I wouldn't even call this Man religious, his behaviour and attitude quite frankly STINKS! I don't know how he gets away with it! I wouldn't even associate him with religion, how can someone call themself a Father and carry out Gods work yet treat the parishnors the way he does!? There were Baptisms taking place and he was talking to the parents so badly I actually didn't want to be there it was uncomfortable and embarrassing and he didn't seem to give a damn! I hate to use the race card but in this instance I was wondering if he would have treated these people differently if they were white (they were all black or Greek). It's definitely put me off church and I'm so glad my children were not with me that day because I could never of explained to them that this abnoxious man was a man of God! He was threatening the parents of the children being baptised and shouting at everyone for not singing loud enough! I'd like to say he got out of bed on the wrong side that day but if you scroll down there's. Similar review of a similar incident from 2 years ago!!!!

Nice and quiet church. Not very busy but very convivial. And the priest is funny too !
