Head Starts Nursery

My son has been attending Head Starts Day Nursery for over a year now (since 2016) and he really enjoys it there. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and they've recently been focusing more on getting parents involved, with events after hours, that are appreciated. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, always seeming positive and proactive and the kids appear happy. The back garden is a bonus and it's great to see how much they get the children outside, even in the winter months. The nursery uses Tapestry for keeping parents in the loop about their child's development and send out a useful daily email to let you know how potty training, eating and sleeping have gone in the day. The quality of provision and extracurricular activities, including local trips, has definitely improved over time. I wholeheartedly recommend Head Starts Day Nursery.

I would stay clear off this nursery at all costs!My son is special needs and they didn't have all visual cards on walls made me feel like I was the worst mother in the world and how dare they have to spend extra time making the setting more visual friendly!! The owner is not very educated on special needs children and blames parents for behaviour that is not the child's fault or the parents!!..They gave me paper work with other children's names on and there parents which is total disgrace!!.. they blamed my child for the reason of losing staff when in actual fact the staff was fed up of how the owner was running the place!..If your child has any behaviour they will be penalised!!.. made me very unwell after my experience here! So to the owner before you judge what you do not understand in your ingonorence best you educate yourself on autistic children! Also pda! And sensory processing disorder and adhd.... I still have all paper work and the extremely rude letter you wrote to me also! Professional!! You are not!....

Love this place! Staff are great and the place is immediately striking as being safe and welcoming. My child has been here for a while and we've had no problems at all - perfect! I'm also impressed with how well my child's achievements are monitored and shared with me. The days and events are organised very well with lots of reminders (which are helpful!). My child seems to know so many random (though healthy) things and I'm sure it's because of here...! Visit and you'll see. x

This is a great place the Staff are lovely, friendly and understanding,the Children seem to really love them.Children are greeted each morning as they arrive.There is plenty of food for them to eat through the day.At the end of the day You get a email with the days events and what your Child got up to which is nice to see.My Son has many friends there and he enjoys telling us stories of his day! when he's home.

Please be warned I would not recommend this setting to anyone. Notice also no current Ofsted report?
