Beautiful to go on an afternoon walk. Words can't explain how peaceful it is you just have to go and experience it yourself by doing one of the many trails available.

Wonderful walk again by the Thames. Friendly walkers here and well managed spaces... just a shame that Michaela's Tea Shop hasn't been able to open in the current crisis

Not been for years so was nice to go back... Much better than I remembered them, grounds and locks area kept really nice, mainly by volunteers-thank you, couple of pubs at the bottom of the locks. Nice walks along the canals.

A good stopping point along the Thames Path. Get a cuppa at the small café, then sit down and watch the boats come in and out of the lock.

Not straight forward to find the path from the Olde Bell.Go past the Village Store on the left hand side you come to the Manor House.A drive way in front of you and the path is hiding just on the right.Tea shop when you get to the lock open 11 to 5pm. Closed on a Monday!?Nice and quiet to walk by the Thames and see the boats and the Wildlife.

Pretty lock with, nearby, some lovely old houses, a church and very old pub in the village. Good (free) parking area very near the church. Short enjoyable walk was had by one and all!

The Thames Path crosses over to an island at this lock with footbridges at either end. It has toilets, picnic areas and boars to watch going through the lock.

We love coming here. It's only a 15min drive and free parking. The walk is about 5min with wheelchair access( and pram) to the bridge. I cannot stress this enough you must come early on hot days over the weekend or school holidays to get off street parking, be there by 9:30am basically. There are loo's and cafe opens at 10am and safe entry for littles ones into the water further down the lock. No fires no loud music allowed. Animal friendly.

Beautiful afternoons to be had in the sun, but parking in the village can be quite difficult on sunny, popular days and so expect a bit of a walk. If you find the lock island" you will find the area in my photograph which is perfect for kids with minimal swimming skills."

Located on Hurley village, the Hurley Lick does the function of raising boats up or down the Thames river. Very peaceful area around the lock, the access by walk is located along Thames Path. There are seats placed alongside the Path for onlookers to watch the lock in operation. It doesn’t require one to buy any tickets for watching the operations. There are no public refreshments nearby, though they could be found in Hurley village.
