This is a medium sized car park which serves the Aylestone Playing Fields on Braunstone Lane East, Leicester. It is to the rear of the brick Pavilion and Changing Rooms - which is quite modern as it was built fairly recently after the previous post-war wooden pavilion was burnt down following the eviction of travellers who had been in a very lengthy illegal occupation of the car park and orchard area surrounding the old Pavilion.Entrance to the car park is now barred with a padlocked barrier to try to prevent future illegal occupations.When it is open for games on the Playing Fields it is often of inadequate capacity to the task so cars frequently park along the grass verges along Braunstone Lane East.
