Wanted to share this unpleasant experience we have with Howdens Montrose, Scotland. We bought a kitchen, so we paid directly to Howdens, but since Howdens work via traders, the money are allocated to that trader account. And then we returned some materials for a refund, and the refund WAS BLOCKED BY A TRADER, no explanation, no contact with us, and the funny thing is, when I asked Howdens to explain why trader blocked the refund, Howdens just replied that trader does not need to provide an explanation and that I need to sort things out with the trader, who is long gone. So we cannot get access to our refund till trader unblocks it. Almost like a theft. I checked bank transaction, the money went to Howdens, so they shoud refund me. Why does my refund depend on some trader? Traders was just a service installing the kitchen. Awful practice. Had I known that, would never ever buy stuff from Howdens. Hope this will be helpful for some people.
