On holiday and searched them out, they've nailed it!! Great set up shop,light and airy. Friendly and knowledgeable guys and doing what is needed today,great food at a fair and correct price. The lamb and pork we had was superb and we were introduced to the finest Pork Scratchings I've had from IoW garlic farm. I introduced them to Fruit Pig Black Pudding! Support them people,they deserve all the success.It was a pleasure Guys!

10/10 butcher, offering top quality meat rivalling much hyped butchers like The Ginger Pig, at reasonable prices given then quality (not cheap, but you get what you pay for!)Very lucky to have such a high quality butcher in the local area. Far surpasses any past shops that have tried over the past years. Meat is locally sourced and of very high quality. Meat is fully aged and butchered on site - no vacuum packed pre butchered meat being delivered here, unlike at the local super market.Really good selection of other bit and bobs too. Being South African can attest to the quality of their Biltong and Droewors made in the shop itself. Sometimes they don’t have a lot in stock, and may not have the full variety of wet, dry etc… but it is all handmade weekly. If you’d like something specific they will accommodate and do their best to order it in, or have it prepared for you before you next visit.

This is absolutely the best butchers I have ever used. Not only is the quality of the products second to none so is the efficient and excellent service. I take great comfort in the fact that Lewis ensures that he will only sell products where the animal welfare is of the highest standard and this is reflected in the taste. Thank you for doing such a consistently brilliant job!

In the last 2 months me and my partner decided we want to buy better quality meat, which is better for the environment and ourselves. Thankfully, we came across considerate carnivore to fullfil this need. They do delivery which is great, as we live a little way out from Botley.So we have tried beef brisket, beef mince, leg of lamb, sausages, burgers, chicken breast and chicken drumsticks.All have been absolutely delicious! You can tell the difference in quality. However, the only one we did not enjoy was the chicken drumsticks. We did our usual recipe, which we'd do with supermarket drumsticks, and the meat came out tough and skin rubbery. I did notice the meat is a lot browner so I probably need to learn to cook this type of free range chicken. We will give the drumsticks one more try, and hope they turn out better. Perhaps put them in the slow cooker. Don't let this put you off this company though. I'm just being honest with our experience. and the customer service and the rest of meat has been wonderful!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Really great quality meat and other bits. The gluten free pies are a real treat!

Visited for the first time this week and I have to say the meat I got was fantastic. Beef mince was great and the Cumberland sausages were the best I’d ever had. Staff were friendly and helpful and loved the selection. Happy to keep this as my local butcher

This butchers is fairly new in the area, last butchers got shut down to poor hygiene rating (never wore gloves, handled money then food, didn't use separate chopping boards, touched cash register with dirty hands, was sold off meat etc) and this new one is also low rating (3 out of 4, satisfactory). It's a shame Harvey's is gone in Warsash village they were way better than this butchers / the one before in the same building. Don't recommend unless they improve.
