Absolutely amazing shop, full with every kind of costume you could want. Ruth is fabulous at helping put together a costume and tweaking bits to make your idea come alive. Definitely would recommend Cotswold costumes.

Walked in with trepidation but desperate for an 80's Costume. The girls were brilliant and got me sorted straight away. Lots to choose from and they were excellent in 'accessorising me up'!! 5 STARS!!!

The people here are so helpful, they understood what we were trying to do and they're were immense fun too!

We wanted a slightly obscure costume for world book day. The staff were very busy but couldn't have done more to help us. They have a huge amount of stock and were able to pull together just what we needed.Id recommend ringing or emailing in advance if you are looking for something specific. Especially around busy times. The lady that helped us had researched exactly what we would need in advance.

A brilliant shop. The ladies were extremely helpful and renting two fantastic outfits for a week cost £36. They were also great when one costume broke on a seam due to excessive dancing!!So much better than buying off Amazon.

Hidden away gem. Well made quality costumes and lots of them. Very helpful proprietor and staff.

What an absolutely wonderful company with wonderful staff.I recently had my very first fancy-dress event to attend and, a little nervous, I was ringing around trying to find a costume from a period of zero knowledge about how hiring works or how much it costs. As soon as I said “I have a Bridgerton thing to attend with my daughter” Ruth replied saying she knew of the event in London and of the show, and would definitely be able to dress me for it, so I arranged to visit the shop the following weekend.Within 10 minutes of walking through the door and being greeted so warmly, Ruth had picked out a full costume and I was trying it all on, still a little unsure of what Bridgerton even was. Believe me, this place is an Aladdin’s cave, think TK Maxx for costumes, I think they could literally dress you for anything, but she knew exactly which rail to go to for everything, and in my size. Even gave me a few different options to try. I couldn’t believe how easy she made the whole process and pretty soon I was dressed to impress.With help from her mum, and even a few other customers who were in the shop, I tried a few different looks and we all eventually settled on the very first one she’d chosen for me.Ruth then explained how the hiring works, how little it costs (I never knew that you could hire such a wonderful costume for around the same cost as you can buy a cheap looking throwaway version from the internet, and you get to keep it for 7 days) and we agreed a date to collect it all ahead of the event. The process was so simple.Suffice to say, my daughter was impressed with how I looked, I fitted in with everyone else who had also made the effort for the event (I only saw one internet purchased costume and am glad I didn’t go for that) and I can’t thank Ruth and her mum enough for helping me.The service level you receive from these guys, the variety of costumes they have available, the fair price they charge, and the all-round experience means this will forever be my go-to place for future events. I can’t recommend them enough and continue to give their details to friends and colleagues. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.Thank you both for your excellent service.

Really lovely owners and a fantastic range of outfits to choose from at really reasonable prices!

This is an absolute treasure trove of costumes, and Ruth has an abundance of knowledge. I usually hate fancy dress, but Ruth made the whole experience fun and seamless, she couldn't have been more helpful. I had contacted a few other costume shops and none of them were as friendly or helpful and accommodating as Ruth. I'm not based near her shop, but I would travel back here next time I have an event that requires a period costume. I highly recommend!
