Bath House - Bodycare Shop

I love this brand, there are only six stores in the UK. They are a local brand from Cumbria with ethical sourcing of ingredients and a high focus on recycling with their packaging. Unique and lovely scents and great quality face, hand, and body care. Staff are always so friendly, helpful, share inspiration and give great explanations of the products and brand history.

We visited the York store a while ago and enjoyed our experience there thanks to the helpful and friendly staff. My husband got a sample of the Slate cologne and it is lovely. I decided to get him a full size bottle for his birthday and ordered online. While I was ordering our Wifi kept cutting out and I inadvertently ordered 3 times (duh!). I realised the next day (a Sunday) when I checked our bank account, and was going to call during office hours to cancel the two accidental orders. On the Monday, not long after 9.00am, I received a call from The Bath House, who had noticed my error already, realised what had happened, and were calling ready to cancel two of the three orders. Fantastic customer service, most other companies wouldn’t even have noticed, never mind call as they did to help me correct my error. We’ll certainly use them again for our little luxuries!

Love this place and the people that work here. Great products at decent prices. The Patchouli and Black Pepper range is so lush. I never order off line as I prefer the customer service face to face.5*

What a wonderful store and gorgeous products… I came in sadly with little time to spare as we were leaving York this morning, but the lady was so helpful… we managed to find me a beautiful fragrance and some skincare in 15 minutes and it didn’t feel in any way rushed. The ingredients are quality and natural and the fragrances are just incredible. I wish there was one down south! At least now I know which fragrance ranges to order online… if you’re in York, I highly recommend a visit, it’s a feast for your senses.

My partner is working in York and knows I suffer with extremely dry hands and bought me one of the hand lotions I can’t believe how amazing the product has helped my hands within just few days. And the fragrance smells amazing. Would highly recommend.

What a great little place, was drawn in by the beautiful scent outside the shop. Was shown round and talked through the products by the very knowledgeable and professional staff. I used the same scented hand lotion as I was leaving and my hands smelled amazing the entire day. The fragrances linger for ages. Thank you very much, will certainly be back.

Called in to the York shop today and received a warm friendly welcome. The gentleman who served us was professional and a real asset to the shop. The products sold in the shop are of the finest quality. Thank you for a lovely shopping experience.

Their Library scent diffuser is absolutely lush. But I paid £25 for a sample set 5 of perfumes, which I later found out are £4 individually… also the bottle sprays are terrible, all 5 stopped working after about a day so I can’t use them. Nice staff and nice scents though

went in today with the intention of just looking around and was blown away with how lovely and attentive the staff are. they had amazing recommendations and absolutely love the bamboo and jasmine hand lotion I've picked up. Will definitely be back for refills!
