Leicestershire County Council Social Care Services

I am involved with a family in crisis, helping the mother and her three children cope with an abusive father.Social services have been involved but their commitment and desire to help is none existant and I am thoroughly disgusted with them and will be on to their manager in Loughborough first thing in the morning to raise my concerns. I thought social services were there to help families like this but the service so far has been disgraceful.

I have to say I've had ups & downs with child social services with my family & our allocated social worker now , but on a whole they have supported & helped me when needed , they sometimes get a bad press but right now I'm going through a lot and my children's social worker is one in a million with us

child services got involved last October 2017 with the family and to be honest its taking near on a year to sort out now in September 2018 we still are a split family and are no further forward ... I think personally that this department cannot get its act together probably because the amount of case loads it has to handle it is my personal opinion that a government ombudsman needs to take a look at the child services department
