MR RAFIK GIRGIS

I wish to thank Mr Rafik Girgis for giving me my eyesight back following recent cataract surgery on both eyes. His professional advice and care resulted in implants for near and distance vision with the successful result of restored vision. Mr Girgis from our first meeting gave me confidence in him and his excellent Team. Anyone who as had my condition will have experienced how concerning having restricted and worsening eyesight impacts on life. I cannot thank Mr Girgis enough and strongly recommend him. He is a fantastic person and ambassador for the medical profession. Thank you Mr Girgis!

On behalf of my wife, Beverley, I would like to thank Mr Gilgis for the excellent treatment he give her during her recent cataracts removal from both eyes. He has a lovely manner which put her at ease and answered all the queries that we raised. Exceptional. My son lost the vision in his eye due to a eye condition. He initially busted Royal United Hospital in Bath where he received poor service. We decided to use our BUPA and was offered an appointment the next morning. Dr Girgis was exceptional. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He treated my son as though it was his own child with providing him the best care.

From the first time I met him Mr Girgis showed empathy and explained everything and all my options in detail. He was very approachable and the procedure went without problems even though it was challenging for him as I had lasik surgery in the past. Following the procedure he called me on the Sunday afternoon to ask if I was ok. The follow up showed a great improvement in my sight and I am over the moon with the outcome.

5 stars is only the start. Mr Girgis was friendly, down to earth, reassuring and an all round nice man. I had cataracts removed from both eyes, a week apart. I took his advice and opted for the more expensive implants which have given me astounding vision. Having needed glasses for roughly 55 years (I was very short sighted) they are no more! The operations were a breeze and I can highly recommend Mr Girgis.

Mr Girgis is an excellent and very knowledgeable eye surgeon. He fitted his recommended lenses during my cataract surgery and also successfully treated an astigmatism. Highly recommended.

On behalf of one of my service users Maureen, we can honestly say that Mr Girgis is a miracle worker!After suffering a stroke in 2004 that took the sight of Maureen's left eye, Maureen was registered blind.Mr Girgis performed surgery that had not only given Maureen the sight of her left eye back, but infact, the left eye is now stronger than the right eye!Maureen is absolutely over the moon and cannot thank Mr Girgis enough!Maureen is now waiting for surgery on her right eye as the left eye was so successful.Mr Girgis has a soft, calming manner that has put Maureen's at ease and made her feel comfortable and reassured throughout.Thank you so much, you really are a miracle worker and thank you for giving Maureen a new lease of life which has given her much more confidence!

I would definitely recommend Mr Rafik Girgis, he is a wonderful surgeon. I recently had lens replacement surgery for both eyes. Mr Gigi’s was reassuring from our very first consultation. He answered all my questions and I felt completely at ease with him and the upcoming procedures. Both surgeries were pain free and I’m so pleased with the results. I was recommended Mr Girgis by my partner who had the same operations a few month’s ago so I was able also to see his recovery and results also. Mr Rafik Girgis is a great doctor! He’s very understanding and listens to your concerns. He takes time with the patient to help them with their eye issues! he is also an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a consultant eye surgeon.
