Woodbine Guest House

We were greeted by Cass who welcomed us into the house, she let us know about local areas of interest, the facilities in Woodbine, which included a living room for communal use, with plenty of board games and a dining room for breakfast the following morning. She asked if we had dinner plans and said if we needed anything just to her know, she was incredibly helpful and had a lovely calm nature about her. There was a doorbell that rang into the adjacent property that her and her husband stay in. The outside space was very welcoming and the car park has clearly had careful consideration on how best to facilitate for its guests. The entrance in is steep and I was a little concerned on the way out it might scuff the muffler or something under the car, but it was not an issue at all. The location is everything, close proximity to the ferry for those visiting Uig and the views were beautiful from the bedroom and front of house. Would highly recommend and will absolutely be returning.

We had a fabulous stay with Cass & Steve. They were beyond friendly, kind, and had many good recommendations for our stay. It was always wonderful to be greeted by their smiles! The room was clean and well-appointed, and the house had everything we needed including a mini fridge in the lounge. Great location, easy to walk around Uig and very close to Fairy Glen. A relatively short drive to the Quiraing (good hike).

Cass and Steven were great hosts. The breakfast each morning was delicious. Our room was clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Warmly welcomed on arrival by our host Stephen who chatted to us for some time before he carried my case upstairs to our room. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, well stocked tea tray. Excellent modern shower room. We were given a list and asked to select our breakfast options for following morning - all freshly prepared and delicious. Stephen reminded us to buy provisions at Rankins before leaving Uig as shops do not open on Sundays on Lewis and Harris. Such friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Would happily stay here again.

Cass & Steve are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and engaged. The breakfast was good and homemade, with a variety of choices.The room was nice, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and pretty.

Amazing hosts, Steve & Cassandra, made our stay in Skye very special. They were generous in all ways, with excellent advice on walks, cafes, places to eat, sightseeing and even where to buy their amazing mattress from..!!Breakfast was fabulous, the haggis with the full Scottish breakfast was delicious and we’re getting some when we hit the mainland. A lovely selection of cold starter options at breakfast too, as well porridge, smoked salmon, poached eggs on toast - in fact nothing was too much trouble.Our room was beautifully decorated with all the amenities you’d expect, and lovely fragranced soaps, body wash & body lotion. The most comfortable bed so far and I slept better than any other previous stays.Excellent location when arriving on the ferry and easy to reach all the major sightseeing opportunities around the island.Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we definitely will stay again when we return to Skye.

The couple who owns and runs this B&B in Uig, Portree in the Isle of Skye Scotland, are nothing short of phenomenal. They are so kind and their facilities are modern with old world charm. The house is 130 yrs old and the warmth and welcome is absolutely lovely. Their homemade marmalade was heavenly and the bed was exquisite after a long day of travel. They even went out of their way to help me when I had forgotten my printed ferry tickets at home. Will certainly be back. Best in Uig.

This was our third visit to Woodbine Guest House, and it continues to be the perfect home from home base. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are so cosy. The selection of breakfast on offer is fantastic and cooked to perfection, it sets you up for the day. Steve and Cassie are the perfect hosts, and are so warm and welcoming. Stephen and Cassandra have been amazing hosts and a wealth of knowledge about tourist activities around the Isle.Nothing was too much trouble and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Highly recommended this accommodation.
