Harrogate Post Office

I feel compelled to write about my experience after reading so many bad reviews, because I had a really great experience.It was towards the end of the day when I arrived at the post office, and the employee at the counter who greeted me was nevertheless cheerful, engaged, and quite helpful. His name was Richard and he was a total rock star! I had questions about how to send a small package internationally, and he was not only very well-informed, but also patient and non-judgemental regarding my questions about the process. He volunteered information about the courier companies and about the shipping times, and he outlined my shipping options for me in a clear way and didn't try to pressure me into any particular choice. He even pointed out future moneysavers! Overall I had a really excellent customer experience thanks to Richard, and I will definitely be using this branch again!

Closed early without notice and after we'd driven in especially from out of town to post as the item needed to be sent ASAP. Have now wasted £10 in diesel and no chance of it going before Monday morning. Feel severely aggrieved.

I ordered an Amazon parcel for collection here and have been turned away twice. The first time was because I didn’t have an ID even though I had a purchase receipt and confirmation of order. Today I went in at 5pm and was told they were shut despite the closing time being 5:30.Other than that it seems like a pretty decent post office, but very poorly managed/staffed.

I visited today to return 2 old passports using the signed for service, it was nice and quiet and once the clerk had finished sorting out some parcels behind the counter first she was friendly and helpful.

Visited for first time to post a parcel, I know its Xmas but I went at 12pm. The queue was nearly out of the door of the shop. I left and came back at 4pm to a slightly smaller queue. There was only 3 staff managing all this. I'm not sure if the older location was better managed but u need extra staff during seasonal work. Staff who were serving were excellent so no complaints there.

Drove here from 13 miles away to post something that needed to go today and was told by a very rude member of staff that they closed early. The closing early without warning was irritating but can't be helped, it was her terrible attitude and appalling customer service that prompted this review. Go elsewhere!

I was not looking forward to visiting this post office to renew my driving licence, having read the reviews.However my experience was a positive one.I arrived at 9:00 on a Tuesday morning. There was no queue. There was one lady serving and she was polite and pleasant. She explained everything about the renewal process, photo-taking and payment. It all went smoothly. I had no concerns re. Covid. Just took a couple of minutes and when I left there was still nobody waiting. It was great to be able to say thanks and tell her how helpful she had been.

I walked past a couple of times before I realised the PO was inside the Victoria Shopping Centre. It is actually on the first floor in Smith's. There was a small queue but the staff were particularly helpful. I have poor hearing but the assistant wrote all his messages down for me when he saw I was struggling. Top marks and many thanks.

Waste of time visiting. All tills closed but one, which wasn't able to renew my driving licence.

Sendind an old Broadband router using a returns label from BT, the post office operator fobbed me off saying that it was not valid that I have to contact BT for a new label. I went to the Post Office in Starbeck, no problem.
