James expertly repaired my Switch. He was both professional and communicative throughout, and even sent me pictures of the work done to show it was repaired properly. Though he specialises in classic consoles (with pics available on his site), he's more than capable of microsoldering current consoles too. I believe he offers a postal service, but I dropped off my Switch and picked it up the same day. I'm super happy with the work he did and have already recommended him to others I know for similar work! :)

Recently had my gamecube modded by James at bytesfree and can't say nothing but positive thing about his work and communication throughout the service being provided, he sent photos of the work done and simple to follow instructions if needed, with all this being said I'll definitely be going here for anything hardware related in the future and be recommending to F&F.

The retro scene needs to know about this guy, his work is fantastically neat & fastidious. I’ve used various modders over the years but as long as this guy keeps going I won’t use anyone else now. Just check out the photos of the work on his site. His rates are really reasonable and great customer service.
