Ash Barton Estate

I have been lucky to visit and photograph a few beautiful weddings at Ash Barton and it’s one of my favourite venues. Not only does it have a lot of space to accommodate many people, but it also feels quite intimate. The stunning surrounding topography and light on the west coast are some of the best in the UK. Everyone who runs the venue has always been very welcoming.

We got married here a month ago and have not stopped talking about it since. It was honestly the most incredible venue and perhaps our only regret about the wedding is that it is now done and we don't have so much of an excuse for any more visits!We live in Newcastle but didn't find anywhere quite right when we were looking for venues locally. Ash Barton popped up on Facebook and it is perhaps the first time I have ever experienced love at first sight... It was just perfect for what we wanted which was a three day party with all of our loved ones where we just happened to get married in the middle.All of our guests had a brilliant time and were incredibly complimentary about Ash Barton. We had several stay on site both in rooms and in Bell Tents (around 60 people) but it never felt overcrowded. We loved having use of the full space and planned activities to make use of all of the beautiful spots dotted around.We had the actual ceremony in the chapel which fit our 88 guests in perfectly. We added a backdrop for the end of the aisle but didn't feel like we needed to add anything else as it is already so beautiful. The barn is the same; it is brilliant as it is but there is also huge scope to add to it if you choose.The games room was constantly filled with the sound of laughter and the air hockey table was never turned off it was so popular. The less hungover of our guests decided a five a side tournament on the morning after the night before was needed, and a great time was had.From the moment we booked Ash Barton during Covid without even visiting in person it has been an absolute dream. Simon and the team have been quick to respond to any questions we had and have always been very welcoming when we came to visit. The private facebook group is such a good idea for brides and grooms, and it really feels like being part of a family.We both have our fingers crossed that one day we may be able to book again for another wonderful weekend at Ash Barton surrounded by all of our very favourite people!

Just book this place! It's amazing - I first spoke with Simon back in covid and he was amazing, virtual tours and answering every question in record speed. The venue is unmatched in this country... you can make it anything you want it to be with so many options to choose from. Having four nights, a pool and a games room really was amazing - allowed us to really focus, take it in and have the best time with family and friends. Henry was great, making sure the whole thing went to plan, meeting suppliers for us and helping when the weather turned against us. The chapel is so beautiful and the party barn is extraordinary. Thank you so much to all of you - trying to decide if 1st anniversary is too soon to do it all again!

Beautiful location, beautiful buildings and lots for the children. I would love to see the buildings restored to their former glory. Overall a lovely relaxing weekend in a comfortable and peaceful place.

I photographed Harriet & Jack's wedding here last year and it's a fantastic venue. It has everything you need to make it yours for the weekend and have all of your family with you. I would highly recommend it for your wedding day.

We had our belated 30th birthday at AB and it was nothing short of fantastic. We were able to create the themes and vibes we wanted. The barn and the chapel were absolutely brilliant additions to our weekend. The house too is very spacious, well kitted out and Henry and Simon were super hosts. We will certainly be coming back! My best friend got married here, so we stayed 3 nights, and it was absolutely amazing. Well looked after, amazing staff, beautiful and peaceful (when we weren’t having a blast partying). Wonderful location for a wedding. Clean, tidy and beautifully decorated.

Beautiful place for a wedding. Grounds are very spacious, plenty of room for guests to stroll or run around, and beautiful vistas for photography.I attended as a wedding photographer but from what I saw the accommodation for visitors looked very nice.

I was completely blown away by the wonderful atmosphere created at the estate in conjunction with croyde concierge. Tom was exceptional as on site manager.Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, what an asset to the establishment. A wonderful family feel created and lovely personal touches. A an absolute wonderful experience. Thank you and well done.
