I paid £85 for a half day spa; which included 60 minutes of treatments. In hindsight, I wish I had just paid for treatments (£80) and not bothered with the spa. I could’ve saved myself £5 plus the risk of respiratory infection or tetanus from the dilapidated state of the spa! If I could rate the treatments separately I would. No shade to the staff in this review. The staff were welcoming on arrival and there was nothing in reception to suggest that this was going to be a shoddy experience. This review is entirely on the state of the spa. On walking into the pool area I was immediately shocked - quite frankly it’s in an appalling state of disrepair and I don’t see how this is a safe environment for anyone to be in, let alone have the audacity to CHARGE people to use these facilities. There is rust on just about every metal surface, paint peeling off the wall, its decor is dated and it is far from being a sanctuary of rest and relaxation. I didn’t even enter the water because quite frankly I didn’t want to.The pool and spa facilities are shared by hotel guests and ‘gym members’ so if you’re looking for a few hours of peace and tranquility be warned that you may not find it here and may find yourself aggravated by people who lack self awareness and insist on holding incredibly loud conversations with booming voices (that might just be my experience). I found myself wishing away the time until my treatments were booked so I could escape the “spa” in its entirety.I left the facilities before the end of my allotted half day because after my treatments (which were nice, I can’t fault them), I didn’t want to spend any more time there. I could not leave fast enough. The changing facilities can only be described in one word: GRIM. I completely echo the remarks other reviewers have left about large visible areas of mould in the showers and no private changing space. This spa should be closed for everyone’s health and wellbeing and not opened it again until the pool area and changing room facilities have undergone considerable renovation and modernisation. To say it is “tired” is an understatement.Accessibility and inclusivity at the spa is a bit of an after thought; all the loungers are ~incredibly~ low and for anyone with mobility issues they are difficult-to-impossible to use without some rather undignified rolling onto the floor to get up (speaking from experience). Some ugly old conference chairs are stuck in the corner should you want to use those if you can’t manage a lounger and require a higher chair. Robes and slippers are only available in one size so if you’re larger than size 18 or size 7 shoe they won’t fit so bring your own - it would be great to see a wider ranger of sizes available to accommodate all different body sizes. It is such a shame because the setting of the spa nestled in woodland in old Longueville village is beautiful, and the building it is housed in is impressive - there is so much potential here to give Peterborough a wonderful spa experience. Is it going to take a Health & Safety accident for the owners to do anything about it? I feel sorry for the staff having to work in that environment. Whoever runs this operation should be ashamed - I simply can’t comprehend how you can be proud to let people in there.

The staff were welcoming throughout the whole visit. The treatments were amazing and the massage was really relaxing. Like other people have said there is a bit of rusting which could be covered to make a more aesthetically pleasing environment. The afternoon tea had lots of yummy food, i loved the brownie and scones, however it was quite a lot of food for 2 people to share. Overall it was a pleasant experience and my mum loved her birthday surprise :)

Let's start with the positives, staff were lovely, the afternoon tea was delicious and the massage was great, the treatment rooms were relatively relaxed. However I feel this spa is not luxury, when we first arrived the changing rooms were covered with used towels all over the floor, the toilet wasn't clean and the shower was disgusting, litrally had half of someones scalp in the corner and so discoloured its unreal, the pool area needs alot of work and all the lights were rusted beyond belief, im surprised one hasn't fallen on someone's head!Definitely needs a face-lift, the hot hub was so chlorinated that our eyes were watering within seconds and had to get out, all the furniture needs replacing as very overused. We had afternoon tea at 3pm, when we were leaving the spa at 6pm the table we were sitting at 3 hours earlier still had our half eaten afternoon tea sitting there not cleared up!We booked a 30 minute massage each but I'd say both only lasted 15- 20 minutes max which was disappointing.Would love to give this place a good rating but just feels like it needs alot of work to be a luxury spa.Wouldn't rush back here anytime soon!

We were told by two different receptionists to pre-pay for a massage treatment, with the possibility of using a voucher. We went on Orton Hall Hotel & Spa website and purchased the voucher as advised. When trying to pay for the booking with the voucher, we were told the Orton Hall vouchers don't apply as they are two separate companies. Whilst Orton Hall tried to at least rectify the situation, Imagine Spa - told us there is nothing we can do and entirely put the blame on us.When we arrived at the spa to try to sort out the situation and receive the treatmenr, Genesis - one of the receptionists - shouted at me (a 37 week pregnant woman) and my husband. She raised her voice at us when we tried to sort out the situation, told us 'she doesn't care what's right or wrong and who made the mistake' (congratulations - you mislead your customers by providing them insufficient/incorrect information and won't accept responsibility for it...), then went out shouting at us 'ganging up on her', 'what do you want then?' and when we said the least she could offer is apology, she refuted we should apologise.Still not sure how the two of us, including me being in a vulnerable state, could gang up against four women, especially someone so vulgar, rude and absolutely lacking empathy and customer service skills (Genesis). Both of us spoke in a moderate tone (proportional to how Genesis spoke to us) and used courteous vocabulary, but we quite literally felt attacked and butchered by her. We were the ones keeping the conversation dignified.I have been to SPAs in all sorts of countries, with better or worse facilities, but I have absolutely never been so disrespected in my life. What was supposed to be a nice treat before giving birth turned into a full blown argument with Genesis and led me to not only NOT receiving the treatment, but I ended up crying and spoiling the rest of our afternoon experience at Orton Hall.I will ensure the complaint is passed on to Stacey (apparently the manager of this branch) and I will individually contact Imagine Spa. My advice and request to Imagine Spa is: amend the website asap to clearly indicate that vouchers from Orton Hall Hotel & Spa are not honoured at this facility but more importantly have a more selective recruitment process and ensure your staff members are familiar with some basic principles of culture towards clients.EDIT: The company's Spa Revenue & Marketing Manager as well as Peterborough branch manager reached out to us on 25.07.2023 and offered an apology as well as resolution to this matter, which does reflect positively on them and the company.

This place is so run down and I think my pictures show just that! My massage was only 45 minutes long even though I paid for an hour. The facilities are just not very nice. Me and my friend chose to not use the showers as we both felt quite dirty after being in the changing rooms so using the dirty showers wouldn't have helped! Having a high sensitivity to mould spores, I come away from the 'spa' with a headache and congestion. Please change the music in the therapy rooms, depressing and repetitive.Such a shame as there is potential to have a really beautiful space, but unfortunately it is now in a bad way.

Situated in Orton Hall Hotel set in a woodland setting close to the Ferry Meadows Country Park. The reception was friendly, polite. We were treated to a Spa experience which included a serilic mud pack treatment, a pool, jacuzzi and a very nice sauna, however the steam room was not working on the day of visit. This was all culminated in a genegrous and tasty afternoon tea complete with sandwiches, scones, cakes and a sweet. Only disappointment was we booked the tea for 1.15 but after complaining of being forgotten we eventually received the tea 30 minutes later which made us rush it as we due to be somewhere else.

What a rip off! My friend and I paid £85 for a 1 hour treatment and fire and ice spa. When we got there we were told there isn't a fire and ice spa it's the name of the package. This was not made clear to me on the phone when I booked. The spa itself is run down and small. Lots of basic work could be done to freshen it up such a sorting cracks in tiles. We used the spa facilities fine for the first hour but after our treatments found the pool was full of about 10 kids yelling. Not relaxing on a spa day.We filled in forms for the treatments. I specified I wanted a gentle massage with no chat, my friend wanted a firm massage with chat. The therapist didn't speak to my friend and my 30 min massage was very rough with her thumbs being constantly dug into my back. Why ask what we want if you won't give it to us?The 30 min foot and leg scrub however was very good I felt lovely and soft after. We also purchased sandwiches for lunch which were lovely and good value. The robes were also very comfortable. All in all not worth £85 at all. I have been to a lot of spas and for £45 it would have been better value and more reasonable for what we received. Will not be returning!!!

The staff were very welcoming and efficient and the treatments for all 3 of us were wonderful. However the facilities are tired. There are no private changing rooms, nowhere to hang clothes whilst changing, only one shower and one toilet. Also there is no chilled water at the poolside. Such a shame as its a lovely settingto ha

I had booked for a mother and daughter day with two treatments each. The massage and facial were great and the therapists were very professional and good at what they did.The actual pool area was OK.The whole area could do with an overhaul. It is looking very dated and is very worn in places. The toilet area especially.I know it is a hotel also, but I was surprised at the number of children in there who there jumping in and throwing a ball of some sort which ended up coming into the quiet area.I would go again for treatments, but for a calming spa day, I think I would have to go somewhere further afield unfortunately. ☹️

Had a good afternoon here on the wife's birthday although there were some disappointments I.E: no spinner in changing room for your wet trunks etc, changing rooms are in need of restoration, looks quite bad. Otherwise OK really
