Misty Isle Boat Trips

Really enjoyed this day out. Super friendly skipper could tell a great yarn about the history of the area. He even carried our labrador up the steps at the loch end, which is above & beyond the call. Hot chocolate and shortbread on the way back; what’s not to like.

Many thanks to Anne and the two Captains for a safe and wonderful trip from Elgol to Loch Curoisk. The whole organization was amazing and stories will always remain in our memory! Even though we forgot for a moment that we are in Scotland and the rainfall here is spontaneous (yes, we got a little wet :D ) we were treated with some local coffee to warm us up, which cheered us up on the way back! What an experience. Wouldn't want to miss it! Was the highlight of our scotland roadtrip.Elgol is basically in the middle of nowwhere and already to reach the village is an adventure itself.The crew is really nice and tells you a lot about the region. We booked the 3 hours boat trip. Which means around 45 minutes by boat one way to reach the docking point. You get to see seals for 100% and if you are lucky enough (like we were) even dolphins. Once you reached the docking point you have around 90 minutes to explore the surroundings and Loch Coruisk. It is necessary that you were proper hiking boots since the paths are wet, stony and slippery.Whenever you feel like returning to the boat you can do it on your own. On the boat theres coffe, tea and shortbread waiting for you. Sandy the skipper even offered whiskey.

Unbelievable trip!! The skippers are very knowledgeable and we saw seals and minky Wales etc. What I like about the trip was we got dropped off on to a remote part of skye which is only accessible by boat so you practically don't meet any other human beings there.I would suggest to get an early boat out and go for a good hike and come back on the last boat. If you walk 1.5 hours to the other side of the Loch you will have a high chance of seeing a bunch of Beutiful red stags!! Well worth it.Enjoy.May seem a little pricey but once you return everything will become clear!! worth every penny.Shemous was awesome!! Lovely guy. P.s. don't forget to check out the caves near by. Ask Shemous for more details and don't go in high tide!!!

Our trip was amazing, we saw lots of seals on our way to Loch Coruisk and the scenery there was beautiful. We had plenty of time with the Standard Tour. Highly recommend, the highlight of our time in Skye. Thank you so much

An amazing few hours, although it is never guaranteed to see wildlife, on a cold October day we had the pleasure of dolphins, sea eagles, seals and lots more. The captain was good fun and very informative. We went on the rib which was good fun and speedy.

The brothers who took us on our tour were excellent! Had a great time exploring an isle/ rocky outcropping for about an hour before our return trip to Skye. Saw seals and porpoises. Tea & a biscuit were provided on the return trip. Well worth the price.

We came here to do the boat tour that drops you off at Lake Coruisk and picks you up about 1.5 hours later.I would highly recommend everyone do this tour! We did not book anything in advance but were able to get a spot with ease. We did come in early May so it was not busy yet, so if you're coming in June/July/August you more likely want to book on their website in advance.During our boat tour, they talk about the history of the area, what animals can be found and some information about the surrounding islands. During our boat tour, we were able to see dolphins right next to our boat swimming in and out. I thought it was one of the coolest experience ever! They spent ample time driving around on the lake for everyone to get a chance to see the dolphins. The father and son duo were great and I highly recommend everyone do this tour if in Isle of Skye.

What an absolutely stunning trip. The guys on the boat were friendly and full of tales from history and a few legends thrown in there too. I've worked on boats around Skye for years but never actually been on a trip as a visitor and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone!
