I received a warm welcome from Angela on arrival. She was extremely helpful with my booking and maintained a jolly atmosphere. I am a nervous flyer and was gifted this experience by one of my family members. I was put at ease after voicing my feelings and made to feel calm and understood. Mo was my flying instructor and he was great with taking on the challenge of an anxious student. He continued to make me laugh and have a smile on my face throughout the day whilst reassuring me. Overall my experience at Clifton Aviation was incredible and the team were amazing and lovely.

I had a fantastic time! My instructor Gary was an excellent teacher and really gave me confidence. He was also really pleased to meet my mascot Japonicat and let her fly with us. I will be booking again. Highly recommended.

There are a number of points too my personal experience of using this company..1..weight..Be sure too get a digital printout of your weight prior to arriving..I say this because when we went recently, their scales showed over 2st above our actual weight and our own digital scales showed this..This can incur further charges to your flight package..Being that far out in terms of weight is crazy..Company disagreed and said they weighed someone and all good..So BOTH our weights were far over .2.your hour flight includes taxing too runway..& fueling if required and waiting in line for others too take off..So actually flying is around 40mins.The actual instructor ( john), was very polite at all times..3. If you decide to have a video done of your experience, call before to advise the company too charge camera battery prior to you arriving..Sadly unbeknown to us, ours wasn't charged and we had aprox 10mins of filming.Tbh the camera / video part isn't really worth bothering with as we only see back of me and slightly side view.Yes guy offered it £5 cheaper but we didn't have time too view all the video prior to purchasing..but we bought it..so lesson learnt there.So be sure too view yours in its entirety..The company were called 4times in regards our concerns and didn't get back too us until a further call was made .My intention was to learn properly to gain my licence with this company, but I have told them that this won't now be the case ..I won't be calling them again as I feel trust and engaging with eachother is a huge thing in my opinion..And I told the gentleman straight, I won't be using their services for that part of my journey ..

Today, I've had the worst customer experience of my life here at Clifton Aviation Ltd. I booked a flying experience for my son who is meant to start flying lessons to attain his PPL then CPL for 7th and 9th July. A lady called Bridge asked me to pay then sent a payment link which had a different client's details and totals while attaching my invoice with the same invoice number as the other client. I found it strange. I then emailed her to correct the invoice number after I had paid. Silly me!They never bothered to correct the invoice numbers nor confirm receipt of my payment. 5 days thereafter(yesterday), I called their offices to confirm the address for my son's appointment. Shock on me! Bridge had not booked the 7th and was off duty". I was asked me to call the day after

Went for a flight and lession with them. This was a present from a family member. From the start I was made to feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The level of safety was high. The flight was outstanding fun and informative. Highly recommended

Well iv been flying for 15yrs now and I heard some good reviews of this place so I went in to see if I could join to hire thier aircraft. When I arrived everything was ok, I was a little early but no bother I waited. After a hour or so I saw a instructor " who checked my paperwork and I couldn't believe what he was asking me. Is my licence real? Is my medical ok? How much do I weigh? Can I fit in a plane? I felt like it was my first time even flying let alone passing him a logbook with over 400hrs on it. They really do have a issue with weight here at this place. He then asked me is my RT licence valid? Well yes they are for life? It sounded like he had no clue what he was going on about with checking my papers. Anyway I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Very rude and in regards this weight issue they have

--booked flight experience-- Had an absolutely amazing flight a few weeks ago, a double experience which was a gift, the lad at the desk was very welcoming and the pilot was just fantastic to talk to. Even better, I came with the very friend who gifted me the experience, he had the apportunity to fly with me as a passenger once we landed for the other half which he enjoyed very much. We saw malvern Hills and a very clear view of GCHQ. I recommend these people totally for both experiences and learning to fly in general.

What a fantastic experience my partner Matthew and I had today. I am blown away by the kindness and standard of customer service Clifton aviation provides. We received a warm welcome from Angela, who was so lovely and very welcoming, she explained the basics to Matthew and reassured him throughout.We then met Mo, who did the briefing for us, everything was clearly explained, any questions we had he was happy to answer, there was a general friendliness about him, what a wonderful man.I had the chance to be a passenger on the plane but decided not too this time round (will definitely be returning) this was a great added bonus for anyone wanting to share the experience with their loved one. I also had the chance to go and see the plane before Matthew and his pilot (Gary) took off.Matthew then went on to meet his pilot and had a brilliant experience flying the plane alongside Gary, he felt very involved in the whole process and enjoyed every second of it!The Clifton aviation team as a whole are friendly, kind and welcoming, we would recommended Clifton aviation to everyone, 11/10 from us!I will add, there is an extra charge of £5 per stone if you are above 16 stone, but having been kindly explained to by mo, the reason behind this is predominantly for the safety of yourself and your pilot, and also to cover extra fuel costs. I would pay for the extra weight charge over and over again if we continue having wonderful experiences, like we did today.Thank you Angela, Mo and Gary!We will be back!! & I’ll keep my promise to be passenger!

I completed my FAA PPL in Traverse City Michigan and then came back to UK to convert to CAA PPL standards. I was previously with another flying school at Gloucestershire airport but had a poor experience having been passed through at least 4 instructors, who only seemed in it for the money and didn't teach me anything.Since swapping to Clifton Aviation, I have had an air-mazing experience, immediately they provided me details of what I needed to do for the conversion, booked me in for a trial flight and when I was happy got me signed up to swap to them.The receptionists I have met- Gabriella and Briege have always been warm welcoming and a great friendly face from the minute you walk into the office. They always go out of their way to accommodate everyone and reorganize flights when there are cancellations due to the typical British weather.Mo, the boss is always welcoming and a great instructor always making customers feel at ease and making the whole experience a joyful and pleasurable flight. He has been excellent at helping to get me up to speed with the differences between FAA and CAA and quickly and efficiently booking me in for exams I need to take for my conversion.Gary, my new instructor is fantastic, he is honestly the best instructor by far I have had in the UK since coming back from Traverse City, Michigan, USA with my FAA PPL to convert to CAA PPL standards. Since taking me on he has helped to identify the areas we need to work on, ways to help improve my checklists and in flight procedures and explains everything in great detail before the flight as well as during and after. The confidence I have built and amount I have learnt from Gary in a short space of time is astonishing and I can now see the end of my conversion in sight.With Clifton they have introduced me to various other airfields as well from Kemble to Turwestern and Oxford. Something my previous school never gave me, this has helped significantly improve my in air navigation.If you are looking to have a flight experience, obtain your PPL or any other licenses or ratings in Gloucestershire, I would highly recommend Clifton Aviation. Briege or any receptionist will happily book you in and take you through procedures and then I highly recommend Gary or Mo to take you on a flight you will never forget.Best flight school on the airfield in my opinion.
