Skate wing was full of bones and not the little ones you don’t notice, they were crunchy and ended up throwing it away. Gravy was bland.Last time we had food from George’s, it was really good but this time the quality seems to have dropped significantly.We won’t be using this chip shop again.

We have tried all the local fish and chip shops in the area since moving to Bourne and have found George's to be well above the others when it comes to quality and taste. All our food has always tasted fresh, been great quality and been reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

We have been going to George's for our Friday fish n chips for 20 years or more now. Cannot recommend highly enough. Beautifully cooked, crisp n tasty batter. The staff are so quick and friendly. George cannot do enough for you to ensure you have the best meal. It's especially easy now that you can order and pay online before collecting. Plenty of other choices too and weekly specials to choose from. Superb always.

Best fish and chips I've had in years! We travelled from Deeping (as we've tried the ones in Deeping and Crowland) and I won't be going anywhere else. The batter was light and non greasy, and the fish was perfectly cooked. Great service too - would highly recommend.

Excellent,hmmmmm.17/12/22 . Visited again , it is now our very favourite chipotle anywhere. It is 13 miles away from us but would walk if we had to. Wife had scampi chips and salad and I had cod chips and mushy peas.Everything from the sweet flaky cod to the large scampi was freshly prepared and cooked .The cutlery came in sealed bags and the tables were spotless.Can’t recommend highly enough. The staff are so polite ,friendly and helpful.Can’t recommend highly enough.

A shop I've driven past for the last year since living in Bourne and have never tried. Today I did.From the top, parking was no issue. The outside of the shop has seating an is tidy clean and welcoming.The service was alright, there seems to be a surplus of staff behind the counter, so seconds after walking through the door I was asked what I wanted. Not going to lie, I prefer a hello or some kind of greeting.However I can't fault the service as no sooner had I sat down, I was standing again to collect my order.I only ordered a battered sausage and chips, the chips were hot fresh and had a nice colour to them (not important to some) but I like the golden crispy looking ones. But overall some of the nicest chips I've had for a while.The battered sausage, tasty too.Overall the food is a 10 the service I'm going for 9 ¾ the hello would have made a 10
