Scammers! Absolutely disgraceful company. Do not purchase furniture cover from them. Unfortunately I did not read reviews before wasting my money - was much better off keeping the money for an independent cleaning company.Firstly, after making my claim they did not get back to me after telling me multiple times someone would contact me to book an appointment - I had to chase them up the whole time. It took over 1 month to get an appointment and when I was able to finally book my appointment there was a 2 week + wait.On the day of my appointment I waited home all day and no one arrived. I called them straight after my appointment slot had passed (6pm) however the offices were closed. This was a Friday & the following Monday I received an email from them to say a £20 missed appointment charge will apply! I immediately contacted them explaining I was at home all day waiting and they said they would provide me with proof of these missed calls. Weeks passed and after chasing them again, I received an email today stating that the technician tried to call me 4 times, left a voicemail and the office also tried to call me. This is just not true as I had my phone turned on and at hand all day, did not received even 1 missed call, missed call text or voicemail?! They also did not provide me any actual proof of these calls as promised, just the date and time written in an email which is not sufficient and could have easily be written by anyone.I honestly feel I have been scammed and cannot believe the company are still running despite all of the extremely negative reviews. I will be contacting trading standards today regarding this matter & taking it further.

Terrible experience with this company and I urge you not to waste your money with these jokers. They simply are not interested when their product/service goes wrong and their management isn't interested. Dreadful customer service. Sadly, the UK’s most comprehensive furniture protection plan IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON!Claim was submitted, engineer visited and tried to clean the sofa. After he left the original stain was still clearly visible so called again. Same engineer was despatched, looked at the sofa and said it would need a new cover but as there are two cushions, in order to keep the colour, he would order two and would be in touch in due course. We waited for three months then chased it up to be told that Staingard were not going to honour our claim - WHAT A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF MONEY BUYING INSURANCE! So sorry to be negative but once it was going to cost money, Staingard pulled out of the agreement.

Absolutely rubbish.. my son has illness so stained chair 2 months old. Man called said he couldn’t do anything and a new cover would be sent. Now refused claim. Discrimination to illness and also it is covered by accidents ….which it was and couldn’t be helped. Waste of money will be taking further

Policy not worth having. Very unhelpful, have never used the insurance until I tried recently, genuine claim and they didn't want to know.Just made excuses why they couldn't put forward my claim, its all done online and the form is totally useless.

As others have said, this company is a disgrace and I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my sofa from Lee Longlands in Birmingham. I was charged £160 for the Diamond" cover

My elderly mother has a chair for old people. It is a mobility/ recliner chair that has a motor to elevate the chair so as to help someone stand up without much issue.The remote control has failed and failed a few months ago.Constant calls get nowhere as they are always looking into it".The chair cost £1

After waiting months for someone to come out engineer took one look said he couldn't do anything. So recently phoned the furniture shop I bought if from and was told to go back to them because they should replace the cushions that are damaged !!! Heard nothing as per. Can I report to trading standards??

The worst!!! Avoid at all costs. They will find something in the Ts&Cs to make sure they don’t need to cover you. When challenged I was told ‘we will re-send you the Ts&Cs because you haven’t understood them’ . Shocking! Reading the other reviews it’s clear this is how they run their business and treat their customers. The insurance certificate is not worth the paper it is written on.

One morning, having notice some scratches on our new sofa I checked our insurance policy Staingard and it indeed covers for cat scratches. We purchased the insurance when we received the sofa few months back.A gentleman from HomeServe (another notorious 1 star company) came and took some pictures and a video of the scratches caused by our cat on the brand new sofa. The response of Staingard is, of course, in their own favour and they can not refund or repair. See official response below.Our cat indeed scratched the sofa in 1 single night last week but of course this can not be proven, how can we? So de facto"
