Bookham Common Bird Hide
This bird hide is very basic and the lake/pond in front of it doesn’t offer much to watch. There are signs of teenager disruption in the form of used fireworks, graffiti and rubbish and the place seems to be very busy with dog walkers.

A natural and looked after area which is easy to drive to and park. Bird hide has a good view of a lake with its birdlife and is a lovely place for a break during woodland walk.

This is a nice spot to watch the wildlife, we always look for the resident heron. Shame there aren't many other birds but we see swans to geese , moorhens , coots and ducks . It's covered and had seats so a nice resting spot as well.

Whenever we go to the Bird Hide, we are never disappointed. It is a place of enormous calm, unobtrusively watching wildlife going about its business. Good for the soul!

Had a wonderful walk with my son and spotted a little grebe and its baby, as well as several damselflies.

A beautiful start to the morning walked until early afternoon or best part of the morning then stopped at the hide looking for wildlife.

Great secluded place to view the inhabitants of the pond that it overlooks.Hot afternoon, pond level quite low, just a grey heron, a little egret and a moorhen there. Inside the hide some halfwit decided it would be a good idea to add graffiti to the walls, which means the warden has had to spend unnecessary time and money removing the surface layer with a mechanical sander.
