We asked Allcott Associates to carry out a full building survey on our new purchase to ensure there were no hidden surprises. The team in the office were really helpful and professional and organised the survey quickly and with minimal input from me! The surveyor was really accommodating and answered all our questions patiently and in simple terms. We had a full building survey by Allcott associates. The report was extremely thorough and provided in a timely manner. Booking the survey and liasing with the office was extremely easy. We were in two minds about having a full survey and we were very pleased we did as we were able to sensibly cost up the work that needed to be done. We had a full building survey (level 3) on a property we are purchasing which was carried out a few weeks ago in the Cambridgeshire area.The surveyor missed some fundamental features of the property and there were many typographical errors in the report. Our main issue however, was that the surveyor incorrectly stated that the property contained an asbestos cement board". This was deeply concerning for a property built in 2004/2005. On the basis of this comment we commissioned an asbestos survey which showed that there was no cement board at all at the property (whether containing asbestos or not)!Just to be clear the fibreboard/cement board identified by the initial surveyor was identified as full UPVC plastic by our asbestos survey which

Very professional from the start. Good communication and report level 3 very thorough with pictures, findings and recommendation of the entire property. We have asked to specifically inspect some features and this was done. The price is competitive as well. We have recently used another and more expensive company for a move that didn't happen and they basically could not report on anything on a level 2 inspection, which made us wondered if these survey were worth anything. Alcott turned it around and did a great job. We are now confident about our purchase.
