Great bloke and a great haircut, much appreciated the chat whilst cutting and also a bit of local knowledge.Closes for lunch 1.30 till 2.30 plenty to do locally to pass an hour if you happen to turn up at lunch!

‘Phil’ refused to cut my partner’s hair on the grounds that ‘he is not insured to cut ladies’ hair’. My gf is a lesbian with a short haircut. It contravenes the equality act to refuse to cut women’s hair. There is no separate insurance required for different gender’s hair. This is bigotry and will be reported.

Went here on my only lunch time off waited a hour and half and still no barber showed up … so wasted £13 quid in a taxi for nothing .. no signs to say he’s away on a break or to say when he’s back to be honest think I had a lucky escape… try treating your customers a little better

It's appalling in this day and age that a barber can still refuse to cut a woman's hair. Asked for a cut today (I have short spiky hair which is cut normally with clippers, the same as any man that uses a barbers) and was refused and told We don't cut women's hair as I don't have a license to do so".No hairdressers or barbers in the UK require a licence to cut hair.This is in direct violation of The Equality Act 2010. He was quiet and obviously happy to turn away good business.Misogyny at its best."

I was desperate for a haircut. Delighted to have found Phil’s barbers tucked away, just a short walk from the main square in Portree. Phil is friendly and welcoming. But, most importantly, the best haircut I’ve had in a long while.
