Beautiful area of Lancashire lots of walking, in thd village a great cafe which serves ice creams at a very reasonable price. Free parking!

Downham Village Car Park
We park there on may 1st at 10am and the toilets were spotless. We use the facilities before and after the long walk to pendle hill.Thanks to whoever look after the facilities. You are a star !!

Downham Village Car Park
The car park in Downham is ideal as it's right in the village. There is parking for about 20 cars, which unless its a very warm and sunny day is enough. There are toilets which are free, and are kept clean. I recommend parking here.

Downham Village Car Park
It's free and a fair size but unobtrusive. The toilets are excellent and also free and the information centre is brilliant, particularly the bike servicing and pump facilities in there. If your bike needs servicing it would be worth taking it there just for the service and use of the pump. It's also a nice village, so long as it doesn't get too crowded, and a convenient starting point for many lovely walks.

Downham Village Car Park
Free car park that won an award back in the 1990s for best design. Free of charge for visitors, it sports a minimalist information centre with bicycle fixing tools and a bike type pump. Toilets are available, including for disabled visitors, all built in the traditional stone style of the village. Handy parking for a variety of walks and bicycle rides set against beautiful scenery. Quintessential English destination for overseas and local visitors alike. A real gem in the Lancashire hills.

Nice small car park just outside the village, but it is a steep walk up to the village, plenty of walks in the area, by the small stream and road bridge there used to be many ducks, there was none ?
