Having lived here for two years away from home and through a pandemic, I will never forget how much this place felt like home. The staff have always been so helpful and caring and throughout the pandemic, offered continuous ways to support me. Not only did living here make university so much more enjoyable, but living here gave me so many memories that I never thought I would be able to make when being so far away from my home country. Can't recommend iQ any higher!

Lived at IQ for 2 years. It’s fine, but it’s overpriced.Avoid the unrefurbished blocks.Don’t pay for anything above silver(besides the studios) because they’re exactly the same (I lived in silver 1st year and penthouse 2nd year). If you don’t get on with all your flatmates then the kitchen feels like no-man’s land, it’s easy to feel isolated even when there’s one or two that you are friends with. There was a big mouse problem but potentially they’ve sorted that out by now.The area it’s in is pretty bad, nothing to do. There’s a Spar nearby that has a security guard which tells you all you need to know. The parcel situation is good, everything goes to a room in reception and I never had a problem getting anything. The staff are nice.Found it very difficult to get a landlord reference from them.Don’t expect the room to be super clean when you move in.The water pressure is depressing. You’ll be showering in a dribble. The walls are paper-thin. I had a noisy neighbour that wasn’t in my flat 2nd year which drove me crazy. Also the fact that everything is hard flooring and the gaps under the doors mean that you can hear everything going on in your flat at all times.Make good use of the maintenance team because your shower drain will inevitably get blocked. The gym isn’t great, but it’s free.If you can’t take your washing home at the weekend then good luck as the washers/dryers are provided by Circuit Laundry which is a complete scam. Very expensive and don’t work half the time. There’s a general prison sort of vibe to it, designed like a panopticon (google it).The gates were usually left wide open so anyone can get in.This one might be a bit nit-picky but the lights in the rooms are too bright and cold (I hate cold white lights, they make everything feel like a hospital). You will be freezing in the winter, the heaters are awful and you have to keep turning them on again after a couple of hours. If you keep it on then the air in your room will be dry as a cracker, my skin got very dry from this.Overall, it’s fine if you have to stay here but I wouldn’t recommend returning. If you can afford a bit extra (and have at least 1 person to move in with to reduce cost per person) try Get Living/Local Crescent/Oxbow, you get considerably more for your money. I’d recommend Get Living as I’m living there now and had the best experience in actually getting the flat (Local Crescent are difficult and Oxbow never replied to me). If you’re tying for one of those places then just be persistent.

Rooms decent size, kitchen giving boujie and we like that, front desk staff are amazing especially Connor and Albin. Enjoy the snacks at the front desk ( would like to see custard doughnuts tho)would be nice if hub open later and there was a cinema room. Rent quite expensive, lower the prices, we’re students, we’re broke 98% of the time.

I've lived here for the past 2 years and I've loved every minute! The rooms/ kitchens are modern and well furnished. The social hub and gym are a great addition, along with parties held on occasion. Also the IQ staff are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is very close to uni and only a short bus ride into town/ media city. There's also shops, take-aways and a post office just around the corner. I would 100% recommend living here, as you will make many great memories!

Honestly the room is not too bad, but way smaller than the pictures. THE real nightmare is the bathroom. How is my shower drain getting completely blocked on my first ever shower and why was it FILLED with insects in every corner. My flatmates room was even worse wait until you see the photos. DO BETTER??? the floors are flithy! When I say filthy I mean my feet were completely BLACK it was clearly NEVER cleaned. They clearly don’t do actual checks on the room and just pass it off as fine but tell me what about this is fine? Having to pull out someone else’s hair out the drain just to have a shower because maintenance won’t even come and insects everywhere LITERALLY an infestation.

Front desk staff especially Connor & Albin are so lovely & welcoming. Rooms are decent sizes and so is the kitchen. If you’re living with the right people then it really is a lovely stay. It is quite expensive so i would recommend getting a job or 2 however the stay here is amazing. Would be lovely if the hub was open a bit later.

I had a great time living here. It was a safe and secure building with security 247 and the Salford Uni campus was only a short walk a way. There was a Spar, Subway & Gregg’s next door too.Staff were approachable if you had any issues and they always went out of their way to organise events and get people involved. I would definitely recommend.

I stayed at iQ Salford during my third year of university - I was thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend to anyone. Prices are higher, yes, but it’s worth it for what you get. The staff here are particularly outstanding - always friendly, ready to help and ensuring your safety and well-being. The rooms are good sizes, with modern furnishings and facilities. Such a great location for Salford Uni students too. One of the things that surprised me most about iQ Salford was how quiet it was! Even in the evenings, there was little to no noise.
