Melanie did a superb job designing our garden. It has given us such pleasure. I would highly recommend her.

Melanie designed our walled coastal garden makeover in Hove in 2019. The plan was to upgrade our overgrown, unruly, inherited garden ( old lawn, old shrubs!) into a more useable, grown up space, with organised spaces to sit, raised beds, flat beds, pathways, patio’s and a cohesive planting plan in accordance with our ideas and preferences. We had some ideas as to how it might be but Melanie took our thoughts and desires into account and created a beautiful, interesting, flowing space to enjoy from every angle, to sit in from several vantage points, creating different heights, views and perspectives. Our plan was hopelessly naive and uninteresting by comparison! Melanie’s experience was invaluable. Her planting plan was beautiful and creative, allowing for conditions and geographical situation. It was executed with care and flexibility and three years on has matured and flourished into a truly beautiful garden for all seasons. The garden is so much more contained and useable, structured and manageable, yet more than that, it is pretty and bountiful and elegant, blending perfectly with its surroundings, an Edwardian detached family home in East Sussex.Melanie kept to our relatively small budget, managed an elegant execution, amidst covid! And her knowledge and natural feel for garden design made it feel easy and resulted in a garden we love and enjoy every day. I would recommend her unreservedly.

Melanie is a fantastic garden designer. She listened to our brief, understood what we wanted & then executed it perfectly. She introduced us to a great landscaper who also did a fantastic job. Since having the garden done Melanie is always on hand to give advice about planting & has kept in touch to make sure we are happy.I would have no hesitation in recommending Melanie for al aspects of garden design.
