Excellent village pub, well looked after by the staff and the rooms we stayed in were just what was required.As an aside, food is only served here on specific days and booking is essential. There is currently no kitchen open normally as you might find in other places.

Didn't eat but stayed overnight. Great pub, friendly village meeting place with good range of interesting ales and some fascinating William Morris glasswork. Recommended.

Popped in for drinks on Saturday, made very welcome. Returned for Sunday Roast , again made welcome and the roast was delicious, together with proper home made crumble,enjoyed the band, great atmosphere in a packed pub. Thank you

Great time watching the football, great beer, great gin, great staff and a great atmosphere. Really recommend this pub. Plus they love dogs, really are the definition of a top notch country pub.

Hands down the best pub anywhere in the southwest and a fine example of how a pub should be run with excellent staff, excellent food, and a great atmosphere no matter what day of the week it is.
