Lovely little stop after walking around Hylands park. Great vegan chocolate cake and the brownies were good too! Great seating inside and outside! Staff are always friendly and always enjoy going here!

Stables is the perfect combination of excellent food, made by their in-house pastry chef, or else procured from the finest suppliers, superb service, kind courteous staff who are always happy to see you, excellent coffee, a location to be adored, and to top it off, it's dog friendly. I can have a beautiful lunch, an iced coffee, handmade bakes, and my pug, Frenchie, and rottweiler are fussed over and genuinely loved by the staff.Stables has every ingredient for enduring success. If you're out with your dog(s), you are in for a treat at stables cafe. Love the place!

Something very wrong yesterday. Short of staff maybe? Or insufficient equipment in the kitchen? But we've never been told before we'd have to wait 25 minutes for three cups of coffee. In the end they turned up after 40 minutes and only after we'd asked a server where they'd got to. Somewhat indifferent coffee too and served in takeaway cups rather than the attractive crockery everyone else was drinking from. Yes, it was an Open Day and therefore very busy but that should have been foreseen. While we were waiting many people came in and had to go again because there were no tables. So I'd guess they could have served at least twice as many customers in the time we were there if they were working efficiently.

Situated in the heart of hylands Park is this little cafe. Great for a light bite to eat in-between walking round the park, or just relaxing. Great service and atmosphere is welcoming also. Staff were polite and friendly. In my opinion the food was nice but can't be justified for the prices they are charging, spending the best part of a tenner on a panini and a drink is just bonkers to me, considering its just a sandwich after all but hey ho, overall its an OK cafe just bring your wallet.

While a pleasant environment, the food itself is very overpriced and poorly cooked (bagel was untoasted and bunged together for £7).Service was also slow and forgot our food order.Only recommend for a quick coffee stop.

I wish I could do 2 different reviews for weekdays and weekends.During weekdays, when quiet, it’s such a lovely place to go to with the little ones. Calm, nice food and nice staff.Now, the weekends on the other hand. Slow, non-efficient (they seemed to need all 5 staff to deal with one order at a time) and generally hectoring things wrong. I ordered a large hot chocolate with cream and no marshmallows. I got a medium hot chocolate (told that’s what I had paid for. Not true) and marshmallows (I’m vegetarian, so this is a big deal). If I hadn’t been with my baby, 2 dogs and already waited 20 mins I would have gone back. But really didn’t want to wait ages again.Conclusion: weekday, great. Weekends, need a review of staff.

Nice selection of drinks, sandwiches, cakes, snacks, ice creams and the staff seemed friendly. All great except the wait times - we were standing in the queue over 30 mins, by the end of it we were thoroughly baffled (try looking after 3 kids whilst queueing for that long) - how could it really take that long, probably needs a rethink of their serving process; increase their efficiency & leadership
