Went on Sunday of the bank holiday. Very enjoyable walk around the grounds and the house. Free entry to both house and grounds with National Trust membership. Good time of year to see the kitchen garden in particular. Not able to get seating in the cafe as it was particularly busy, and also raining, however there was still a good choice of hot and cold food.Should be noted that the house closed at 4 o'clock.

Nostell is a big estate with a magnificent house, I was too late to see inside. The kichen garden is wonderful with a large orchard, I went in October and the trees were laden with fruit, I think it would be spectacular to see the blossom in spring. The woodland walk around to the lake is peaceful, saw alot of squirrels. I will return again and have a look in the house.

A big house set in a big estate. Car park is a bit small, and it's pay and display unless you are a National Trust member. The court yard has a shop, toilets, secondhand bookshop and two cafes. The gardens and house require a ticket or membership card to access. The house is across a few levels, so there are stairs, information boards, and volunteers to help you round, or you can get a guidebook. The gardens are worth an explore, and there are a few slopes down to the dam. An interesting property with some interesting history behind it or a large parkland to explore with the dog

Visited at Christmas. The house is beautifully decorated in fairytale & folklore themes. It gave a really magical and Christmas feeling to the day. You can have a chat with santa but be prepared to queue as he was a very busy man. There is plenty to explore outside too.Lovely spacious advenure play area with fairy doors dotted around. Lakeside walk & gardens. There is a cafe or take away food outlet. Gift shop, second hand book shop. Free designated parking nearer the house for NT members.

Overall very nice place to visit with your family and with your dogs (pets). The house is very beautiful but sadly the dogs have to stay outside. The garden is very beautiful the dogs are allowed in as long as they are on a lead and kept close. If you are a photographer like me then you can get some nice photos especially from the front of the priory.

A great Christmas display, better than some of the very expensive manor houses!Room guides and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The chocolate and pistachio shortbread in the cafe was very yummy.

Fabulous place to bring the youngsters, have a traditional picnic on the grass and relax in the safe knowledge they are in safe surroundings. The house is closed on certain days of the week so always check before you set off. The staff are really lovely and helpful. Grab a tea/coffee/food from the coffee shop. Extensive grounds for a romantic walk with your loved one, or even 'the wife', or better still..someone else's wife!! Take a football and let the kids burn off some energy. For the less able, there's mobility scooters which from what I could see were rugged and amazing machines.

Loved the kitchen garden, so much fruit and veg growing, very impressed. The gardens are lovely, well kept and has a woodland type play area for children. We didn't go in the house as it was closed, we went on a Tuesday. We explored the gardens then had a scone and tea/coffee in the courtyard outside the cafe, it was very nice and reasonably priced. We then explored the area around the house and gardens and walked up to the obelisk, a very pleasant walk.

Enjoyed every minute of our visit being powerchair users it was accessible. We had a nice lunch in the stable block cafe which was made more enjoyable by the help we received from Ian and Elaine and all the other members of staff (our thanks to them) I would definitely recommend it for a day out.
