I went on their Seven Cities of Italy trip, and it was incredibleThis trip does require a reasonable level of fitness as there is lots of places being visited each day, but the tours were so well structured to minimise the amount of strenuous walking. A lot of the places visited were hilltop towns and cities (San Gimignano, Assisi etc) , the coach driver would drop us off at the top of the hill and meet us at the bottom. The hotels were clean and welcoming, the staff warm and friendly - particularly the owner of Hotel Riva del Sole, who helped me after I had a nasty fall walking back to the hotel.Lastly, our tour manager Bill is an absolute credit to Newmarket Holidays. His extensive knowledge of Italian history, the places we visited and his humorous anecdotes about his life living in Italy made the coach trips so much more interesting.

Just got back from an amazing holiday from Montgomery, New Orleans, Graceland and Nashville. Alot of travelling but well worth it. Driver and tour guide Julie were absolutely brilliant

Booked a holiday in Sicilly , due to a fire at Luton airport , flights cancelled, advised to make our way to Gatwick Airport by Newmarket Holidays for alternative flight, they agreed to reimburse any additional costs. We made a claim as instructed , it has taken Newmarket holidays about 28 days, to inform us to contact Easyjet directly , as nothing to do with them , customer service doesn't exist.

Historic Railways of the Isle of ManI would not advise any solo travellers to go on this holiday. Out of a group of about 40 only two of us were put in Ellan Vannin Hotel. Both singles but not travelling together. I consider the enjoyment of holidays is socialising with others particularly in the evenings. The room was extremely small only plus being that it did have sea view although was on second floor with no lift. This was very disappointing although the Island is beautiful with many interesting things to do.

Had the most amazing holiday to India with Newmarket holidays. The tour was well organised and our tour guide Mahendra was first class. So knowledgable, friendly and all round great guide. I had an accident and twisted my ankle and he went above and beyond to ensure I got checked out at A and E. If your lucky enough to have him as your guide you’ll be enjoying a great trip even more!

Sometimes you can tell where a tour operator is cutting corners. Usually, it’s the food that suffers first. Such was the case on our trip to Switzerland last week. The Tour was entitled ‘Alpine Glory’ and so it was! The scenery at this time of year, just before the first snow, is truly wonderful. Our location in Chateaux d’Oex was just right. We did a couple of organised coach trips and a couple of independent visits by train and local bus to Glacier 3000 and Gruyère, which we visited twice! The three star Hotel Roc et Neige is an adequate sleeping base with the train station and a Coop within easy walking distance. We were greatly helped by absolutely wonderful autumn weather through out our stayHowever…..we were extremely disappointed in the meal offering, one meal was totally inedible.Thank goodness there was a Coop just up the road. I don’t blame the hotel too much, although I would have thought they may have told Newmarket that they couldn’t supply a decent three course dinner for that price. It was also strange that the Tour Manager didn’t join us for many of the meals in the hotel. Maybe she knew something we didn’t!On the subject of the Tour Manager, we found her to be lacking in a few personal skills. Maybe she just wasn’t our sort of person. So come on Newmarket! If the food had been better, this would have been a 5 star review. Could do better.

Just got back from a week in Lake Garda at the Savoy Palace Hotel. Newmarkets four organised coach trips were first rate with perfect punctuality, excellent guides and super coaches and drivers. Venice was the highlight! Their end of the holiday we couldn’t criticise. The hotel was of an excellent standard with a good breakfast but the evening half board meals were tiny portions and disappointing.Staff were nice but this hotel caters very much to a German market and we definitely felt like second class guests.Easy jet however were an absolute disgrace with a 2 and a half hour delay out of Gatwick and 1 hour forty five minute delay on the return! This carrier are a bunch of incompetent amateurs. NEVER again with a budget carrier and Newmarket need to drop them pronto! The flight is only 1 hour and 40 mins as it’s only 650 miles to Verona yet we left home at 2pm for a 6pm flight and didn’t arrive at our hotel until 01.30am which is frankly ridiculous! Catching any plane should be like catching a bus! Airline travel has gone seriously backwards in the last 30 years!Next year we will cruise from Southampton or holiday in the UK as we have no patience left for airlines. This was not Newmarkets fault however and we would definitely recommend them as a holiday company.Lake Garda and all of Northern Italy is simply stunning and highly recommended as an adult holiday.Holiday would have been 10/10 if it were not for sleezy Jet!
