So happy to have found a good local chimney sweep in Barry. Simon responded promptly to all my messages and turned up on time. He was very pleasant and helpful, providing a certificate to show the chimney had been swept. I would definitely recommend him.

Seriously Impressed! Simon not only cleaned our very clogged chimney but also serviced our wood burner, at the same time as giving me training on the various aspects of how the stove worked. Something that the supplier/installers never did. Now the stove is operating better than ever and is generating some serious heat, I am so pleased. His pricing is great, everything was spotless and he is a very nice chap indeed. He is also very dog friendly and my lab puppy thought he was marvellous! Awesome service, thanks Simon!

It was an absolute pleasure to have Simon over to carry out the chimney sweep. He is very friendly, professional, and provided very usueful tips for the installation for a logburner. What an excellent sweep Simon is!We have a Clearview stove with a liner, and Simon spent a long time getting every last speck of soot and gunge out of it. He gave me extremely helpful advice about how to keep it gunge-free (don't try and keep the fire in all night).His preparation and attention to detail was incredible - shoes off, dust sheets down, and hoovering up every mote of dust.I have no hesitation in recommending Simon, the Vale of Glamorgan Chimney Sweep.

Simon did a first-class, professional job for me when I had my chimney swept for the first time. He is friendly and gave me useful information regarding how I use the log fire. He worked quickly and there was absolutely no mess when he'd finished (and I have a large beige fitted carpet in the lounge) - thanks Simon.

We would highly recommend Simon. He is easy to contact, flexible with times and dates, professional and friendly. His prices are reasonable and he always gives us useful information regarding the types of wood we should be burning etc. Very happy to use him again.
