Nice location next to the Cathedral and they have almond milk but... Coffee did not taste good :-( Also, rest rooms are two floors up and badly sign posted. Not good if you don't like stairs.

The drinks were more expensive than average, but most of them were pretty good. The mixed drinks that we didn't like were very strong, and not mixed as well as they could have been. The service was very good, and the bartender was friendly. On Thursday's they have a 2 for 1 deal on mixed drinks, although the drinks did have to be the same. We had fun and would visit again.

Visiting Exeter and stopped of here for a quick coffee and rest. Fabulous female Barista who served me and was very welcoming, friendly and took the time to make conversation. Sat outside overlooking the Cathedral. Great views and some peace whilst away from the busy high Street.

The food is so good here and they serve great cocktails, all of it really well priced. The staff are always helpful and service is quick. The menu isn't massive (though there is plenty there) but is very varied and will suit most tastes and dietary requirements. Portions are very generous so don't overdo it. Will definitely be back.Recommend anything with the Mac n cheese fritters!

Firmly placing themselves on the foodie map of Exeter, South St Standard is an import from Bristol where the original restaurant started off, building on their success they have brought soulful food and a wonderful independent spirit to the Exeter food scene.Whether it's steak, burgers or vegan options, they've got you covered with a diverse tasty menu at a reasonable price point. We really love their Mac n Cheese, and their chocolate brownies are to die for.Desserts are home-made, cocktails are plentiful and if you just want a coffee? Sure thing they've got you covered. Perfect central meeting point for lunch, or a meal out in the evening.

Really good Sunday roast for only £10! Quality roast potatoes, soft on the inside, crisp on the outside. Plenty of good beef, nice veg and a Yorkshire, you won't be disappointed. Unless that is, you have the diet cola. Don't know what brand it is (not Coke) but it's bad, almost medicinal tasting.

we really enjoyed our dinner on Saturday! Food was a bit cold but still great. Staff was polite and friendly, and very accommodating although they were busy. We spent all our eve there form 5pm to close, so atmosphere was great.We came back for breakfast on Sunday and one of the staff ladies (supervisor or manager) was very rude and very stressed out which made atmosphere very unpleasant, table next to us also noticed it. She negatively dominated the atmosphere. It is not right when you are scared to ask something staff members at the restaurant. Shame as food was great and it could have been really nice morning too!

An awesome restaurant with great food and nice atmosphere. The food is a bit expensive but very delicious. The only disadvantage is that you have to order and (immediately) pay on the ground floor.

Fabulous fish pie and mac n fries with pulled pork, so much I couldn't eat all mine, but so yummy I brought the rest home. It was a really chilled out atmosphere in there, the staff were really friendly. The food arrived quickly and piping hot. Great views of the cathedral too top it all off

Awesome vegan options! Nice drinks, good live music every now and then. And for meet ups they have a meeting room upstairs with seats, a big table, screen and air con, no wheelchair access to the meeting room though.
