Just booked another holiday on Rose, can't wait to make more amazing memories :) Lovely friendly couple, boat has comfortable bed, wood burning fire cozy & reliable. We found quiet places to stay along the picturesque Lancaster Canal.

Narrowboat Honeysuckle based at Garstang Lancaster canal narrowboat hire, this has been a great experience this is the second time we have hired a narrowboat from Sylvia ,who is down to earth helpful,patient hardworking approacheble and fun ,the narrowboat is immaculate,bedding and towels provided and start off fuel for the log burner if you want a cosy atmosphere,ample instructions and teaching as required,doggy friendly ,well happy with this small holiday company ,would definitely recommend

I used this company again for the second time. 1st visit was a week on Poppy and last week 3 nights on Rose.Lovely boats and Sylvia is there to assist with every enquiry. They added some short videos showing various elements of each boat. A great idea that allows you a walk round the boat and gives an insight into operations and other aspects of boat handling and use.A lovely canal that I do not think you would ever get sick of visiting.People (& dogs) along your journey at pubs, on the tow path or on passing boats are always very friendly. Enjoyed a week's holiday on the Lancaster canal in 2019 on Forget Me Knot. Cracking little boat. Have booked again for June but going to try out Poppy this time. The boat owners are super friendly. The canal itself is beautiful with no locks to worry about. As I'm getting on a bit, this is a real plus for me. They allowDogs too. Just book it

A fantastic experience and great service from lovely people. Sylvia and Kathryn were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and Poppy is a gorgeous boat - so well-equipped, clean and tidy. Was gutted to leave her! Highly recommend for a holiday that allows you to completely switch off and slow down the pace of life for a few days.

Fantastic boats and people, Michael and Sylvia are very friendly people that make the whole process of hiring a boat joy. The boats are perfect in every way and the canal is a stunning place to be and they are dog friendly. Highly recommended for canal boat hire whether it's a short weekend break or for a full weeks holiday.

We really enjoyed our three night stay on Poppy. The boat is a few years old but looks brand new and everything worked like it should. The owners spent a good 40 minutes or more showing us around and taking us for a training cruise, after which we set off for a fun holiday at 3 mph. Our two young children enjoyed the ride as well, not to mention the costumes provided by Sylvia. The canal itself is beautiful and secluded, yet we were never too far from shops, pubs, and even a children's fun farm. Highly recommend this company, this boat, and this canal!

We hired Forget me not, a sweet little boat. This was the first time we had been with Lancaster canal boat hire. Sylvia and her staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return.retur
