Jade Pharmacy

It would be a zero Star,I was advised to go back to my dentist who had apparently not written the amount of tablets that should prescribed to me even though it was written take 1 tablet 3 times a day for 7 days. I even explained to the staff members but they refused. I went back to the dentist who advised the prescription was correct. I went to another pharmacy and they prescribed me the medicine with no issues. Terrible service from an inexperienced staff member or pharmacist....

Terrible unhelpful service. I only use this pharmacy as the branch at Parkbury House is currently closed. Served by the male pharmacist on duty - no inclination to be helpful and rude dismissive attitude while aware that I am heavily pregnant. On a previous occasion, they have incorrectly queried a GP prescription and refused to give it to me against the GP’s advice, creating a load of back and forth with the GP, wasting everyone’s time (another reviewer mentions the same). Avoid if possible.

Awful pharmacy they just can not be bothered to help you. The Parkbury pharmacy is currently closed for refurbishment and so this one is the next closest one. They refused to deal with me as I have to deal with another branch who is looking after the Parkbury branch customers. Had a prescription sent over from my doctors to make my life easier but the staff there just made it so difficult. The staff are not helpful at all. They are not rude just not helpful and they just send you away and really are not bothered in helping you. When you do manage to get help they are out of medication and send you away to try another pharmacy. It’s always the same with them no matter what time of day you go in. Would not recommend this pharmacy at all.

Great service everytime. The service is fast and the queue is managed efficiently by really lovely staff.

Excellent pharmacy and brilliant staff. I've needed various medications over the years for Ulcerative Colitis and recently after surgery to remove my colon. They have never failed to provide the medication I need. They also offer a superb delivery service.

Scheduled a fit to fly test. All went according to plan. Results were emailed to me within a half hour. Fair price of 29 pounds. Nice, professional staff. I was so happy to find a location in St. Albans that offered the test.

I would have to say it’s the very best experience I have EVER had in a pharmacy. Knowledgeable, super friendly and helpful staff, I was COMPELLED to write a glowing review. I am so pleased with the service received that although I live so far away, I’ll make every effort to return for all my pharmacy needs. The staff are a just fantastic!

Awful service. Waited over half an hour for prescription that was sent via GP surgery days ago. Staff seem unorganised and unable to cope with more than two customers being in the shop at once.

First and foremost, when Jade Pharmacy took over Derek’s Pharmacy they should have ‘zeroed’ the previous reviews/ratings via Google. They didn’t, hence Jade’s ratings are inflated.Derek’s was independent, friendly, helpful and professional; always offering sensible advice to avoid you visiting a GP, but only if he was certain.I have been to Jade’s twice since they took over this pharmacy. The first time to queue to book an appointment for a Flu Jab, only to be told they didn’t have any vaccines and wouldn’t for the foreseeable future, despite the live advert board in the window saying the opposite.The second was two weeks ago to book an RT-PCR test for this Saturday, ahead of a work trip to Qatar. They called to cancel my booking on Tuesday for no apparent reason and, when I asked them for an alternative provider, they suggested that I should consult Google! Hence my weekend plans are scrapped as I head off to a provider in Watford. By the way, three days later they are still advertising this service; probably at times when they can be bothered to provide it.This is only my third one star review, but this branch deserves nothing more, sadly.

Needed an emergency prescription and they were one of the few reported open on Sunday to dispense it.I am currently unable to leave home with an injury and arranged for someone to collect it from Jade on Sunday but they could not collect it because of an issue with Jade’s IT system. After waiting several hours for it to be fixed it became apparent it would not get fixed until Monday. Apparently Jade do not have any IT support on Sunday so would not be working until Monday.So I arranged for it to be delivered Monday and meanwhile used 111 to get one days supply issued by another pharmacy open on Sunday.When I called back to Jade on Monday to confirm the prescription was being delivered it turned out they forgot and as they only deliver once a day it would now be delivered Tuesday.I explained I was currently restricted to bed and had nobody else to collect it on Monday and I needed the medicine on Monday.They could not care less. No apology and no empathy or even acknowledgement they forgot to add my prescription to the Monday delivery and their decision not to have IT support on Sundays made a poor situation worse.Due to their incompetency and attitude I will not use them again.
