A lovely place, so much history. Great volunteer team keeping it going. Well worth taking the tour. They are still in the throws of restoration so will definitely be going back as work progresses.

Loved the Easter fun day arranged for young children. My grandson loved the face painting, the hunt for Teddy bears and eggs and the making rooms.

Have lived in Wisbech for 6 years+ often wanted to visit the Castle. Took the opportunity yesterday as was an Open day to celebrate an earlier dig in the grounds. I normally find positive's in most corners of life but sadly my visit to the castle was very disappointing. Fran+ grey,like the weather,there was little to see+ appearance was of something very thrown together at last moment. On the up side. The experts+ volunteer's were extremely pleasent+ very knowledgeable.

There is no longer a castle" but a house purchased by council being renovated. There will in time be a cafe and they hope to renovate and open prison to the public. When asking the locals where is wisbech castle the reply was what castle or didnt know there was a castle."

It was the Easter weekend and I must admit that I wasn't expecting too much but they had worked really hard on the venue and the kids had great fun!

Love this place. An important historical site. Fun events held at Easter, Xmas, Halloween etc. Knowledge volunteers. Lovely little coffee shop on site. A peaceful oasis in the middle of town. Free entry and tours of house and underground vaults. Well worth a visit

Brilliant, we had a great tour and was amazed at how wonderful the place is and just how far back the history goes. Volunteers have done an amazing job. They were very welcoming too.

Attended a open day, ( been to a few they are good )Very well organised, fantastic staff there, all volunteers.Tours done by local councillors who have a love for wisbech and its history.This clearly shows in the tours they do.Fantastic to discover some of wisbech history and the place itself is AMAZINGGardens are fabulous and done by volunteers as well.Fab asset to the town.Just needs more volunteers so can open more.
