i visted the childrens a&e on the 17th november with my 4 year old son the triage nurse (small blonde lady) was extremly short temped with my son and very forceful had no patience what so ever and i felt rushed in and out didnt feel like a patient just a number, i would expect more patience with a childrens nurse but she had none very rude and unprofessional

Received diagnoses for our little daughter in good time, staff is friendly and empathetic. Most doctors are good listeners, acknowledge issues and overall helpful to get the best possible care. A couple of doctors were really bad and rude, should be properly screened and receive feedback accordingly. We are humans after all and can improve. Working in healthcare have care" in it so it's a must! Maybe doctors can watch "patch adams" movie for inspiration. Just saying!"

Rating: ⭐⭐My experience at Milton Keynes Hospital left me with mixed feelings. While most of the staff demonstrated professionalism and worked extremely hard with the resources available to them, there were certain aspects of my visit that were deeply disappointing. Here's a breakdown of my experience:Staff Dedication: It's important to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the majority of the staff at Milton Keynes Hospital. The nurses and doctors I encountered were doing their best under challenging circumstances, and their efforts should be commended.Reception in A&E: However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the reception in the A&E department. The receptionist's demeanor was rude and lacked basic compassion. During my 13-hour wait for a bed to be admitted, I witnessed a couple enter with their newborn, clearly panicked about their child's well-being. The receptionist's response was shockingly dismissive and insensitive, directing them to the children's department without even looking up or attempting to offer reassurance. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially during times of distress and vulnerability.Breaking Point and Staff Attitude: I understand that the NHS is under significant strain, and staff members are working tirelessly to provide care. However, it is crucial to address the issue of power tripping receptionists who add unnecessary stress to an already challenging situation. These individuals contribute to the mounting frustrations and can undermine the efforts of the hardworking medical professionals. In conclusion, my experience at Milton Keynes Hospital was a mix of commendable staff dedication and disappointing encounters with certain receptionists. While most of the medical staff demonstrated professionalism and worked diligently, the reception in the A&E department needs improvement, both in terms of efficiency and compassionate communication. It is essential for the hospital administration to address these concerns to ensure a more positive and supportive experience for patients and their families.

Absolutely disgraceful for a city status hospital . My son went to A&E at 2am after trying everything else first . After waiting until 9 am for doctors to come on duty he was told to go to another hospital for eye surgery !! All night in pain and discomfort with only five people in front of him waiting , police took in a drunk who was seen straight away .No excuse to have wait 7 hrs till they open shop . That’s what it was . 9 to 5 hours by the look of it .!

First day of junior doctors strike but the staff in A&E were working so hard & mostly cheerfully. My husband had bloods & ECG done by 2 nurses who had be working 12 hours. A scan was done & a lots it patients sat in a room in majors for many hours but a lovely young girl came round 3 times with tea, coffee & hot chocolate & 2 with sandwiches, yogurts & bananas. We all chatted & although my husband & I had been there for 5 hours & were delighted when the Doctor said we could go home I’m not sure many countries would get the free service we got tonight.Thank goodness for our wonderful NHS

I dislocated my shoulder after having a fall and was in excruciating pain so went to A & E. After explaining what had happened and describing my level of pain to streaming nurse she couldn't have assisted me better. She brought me liquid morphine to take before being triaged. Very promptly after I was taken to X-ray and dislocation was confirmed. I was given gas and air while a nurse & doctor rotated my shoulder back into place. The relief was immediate. Every single person from the streaming nurse, reception staff, X-ray dept and nurses & doctor were beyond kind & caring. I cannot thank you all enough. But I'll try...thank you all.

I’m in A&E for the past 2 weeks with abdominal pain and back pain and they have done ct scan and they have done blood tests 4 days and they haven’t found what’s the diagnosis to give me and I have been given morphine and cocodomol at last chance of pain relief. It is one of the worst hospital in the world I believe where that can’t find a simple diagnostics for 2 weeks.

Waiting 5hours. Everyone left who was before us or came after us. Electric wires open. Wires damaged! If anyone touch it 6-7 hours and you get a doctor?

So impressed with the care received for my daughter. We went in at 3pm with a non urgent issue but if not treated quickly would have been harder to deal with. The triage nurse was excellent and after checking us in went off to find a doctor straight away. We waited only 30 mins and the doctor sorted my daughters issue out within 30 seconds. (He had clearly done this before) we were in and out very quickly. Well done and Thankyou

I visited A&E this morning as I have had a lump on my finger and a bruise so went to get that checked out, they explained the case and x-rayed my finger, told me where to go and it all ran smoothly!! Although they could see the other patients quick, but I also understand that they got to prioritise patients but the waiting times didnt bother me as it felt like I didn't wait for that long, very satisfied with the care I personally received today.
