Valley Lodge Retirement Home

The care staff are lovely but the management stinks. Proved to be ignorant and abusive, during covid some staff members were seen out socialising then attending work, while relatives weren’t allowed to visit. To my knowledge at least twice Covid was taken in to the home through staff!!!Mum passed away July First last year in, Valley Lodge nursing home. I fought tooth and nail to have the right to see mum during covid. Even offered to build them a safe visitors booth free of charged. The laughed at me, called me stupid then blocked me from the relatives Facebook page, as well as my mums sister who had said nothing. (I photo shot the messenger texts which were exchanged)Then they built a pathetic partisan in a cramped cold entrance door with a microphone which howled when you spoke.Their excuse for not allowing me to build mine was, it will upset the residents, so they cramped themInto a 6ft x 3ft space instead.Stay well clear of this place.Mum passed away on July 1st last year, I saw mum only 4 times in 2 years. That is inhumane by any standard

Fantastic home for the elderly people,looked after my dad until he passed away & also still looking after my Mum now. Wonderful staff & very helpful.

brilliant place to entrust your elderl loved ones too.The staff are fantastic and caring Ablely led by Danielle .I live 200 miles away and am so impressed how my 89 YEAR OLD father is looked after and cared for.
