Always a great experience with excellent food and friendly, efficient service. Great value for money. Relaxing atmosphere and dog friendly too. Best place to go for miles!

This pub is just fantastic. The owners, Chris and Sean, have worked tirelessly to make this pub something special - and it shows. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, super warm welcome and the best hosts you could wish for. The menu is varied and interesting and they cater for all. Extremely dog friendly ( they have their own menu!) and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended +++

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. Food was well presented, in good time, generous in portions and very tasty. The service was also extremely good, polite and friendly. Beer was great too. I can be difficult to please but cannot think of a single negative point with my experience. I will certainly be visiting again and hopefully very soon. Excellent

Great place, excellent food, clean toilets, nice garden area and is pet friendly (they even offer biscuits for dogs). I loved everything about this place.

The pub has been really nicely updated, it was also really clean. Could maybe do with some air circulation as a little warn in there. All staff members we met were lovely and helpful. There were 6 of us dining and we all really enjoyed our choice which is a rare thing these days. Will have no hesitation in going back there again. The pub is also really dog friendly

We were having a long overdue catch-up with wonderful friends! Chris and his team were amazing,…from the first enquiry to the meal itself. We were a large booking, and had the inevitable changes in numbers right up to the day. This wasn’t a problem at all.The food was fantastic. We can thoroughly recommend the Sunday menu!We won’t hesitate to return for future reunions.Thank you Chris and Team!

Beautiful little pub the staff were so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious..the beer garden was nice so we sat out there and had our meal can’t fault anything from out visit when we went also nice they are dog friendly would definitely recommend to anyone passing for food or a drink

The service was really friendly and they were very attentive. Unfortunately I would say the food really let it down.We had the chicken burger for main - chips were cold, the coating on the chicken didn't taste good at all.The onion rings were really greasy.We had brownie for dessert - unfortunately the texture was very off - and parts of it were burned which gave it a bad taste. Some of it was powdery and some was very cakey.Can't fault the location though - I would just order differently next time

What a disappointment.The fox and hound is usually a go to for me and my partner so we eagerly booked a table here to celebrate my birthday. We arrived for our 18:30 booking and was out the door by 19:10.We were greeted by a nice young man who took our drinks and food order, all was well up until this point.We got given our food by a young barmaid/waitress who asked if we would like any sauces, which we did. After a few minutes and my chips turning cold, she appeared behind the bar, to talk to her colleagues. I then had to get up and ask for the sauces again. She then came back to our table with our sauces and said that she had made them but then forgotten all about it.My partners steak was supposed to be cooked med-rare and came out blue. Now if any of the three employees had done a check back, this would have been quickly resolved, however they were all too busy talking to a couple of regulars at the bar to bother with us.After finishing our food the same waitress came over asked if we were done and if we wanted desserts we said no we would like the bill.She then quickly came back with the bill and then a few minutes later the card machine.We paid and then got ready to leave. Not once were we asked if everything was ok, there was simply no people skills whatsoever and as we walked out the main door we heard a faint ‘thanks for coming’ from the young man who had greeted us just 40 minutes before.Never have I felt so unwelcome in a restaurant, it was almost like they were too busy with their friends to deal with actual guests coming to eat and drink.As for spending £20 for a steak, that is fine, but at least get a chef that can cook it properly !Embarrassing from the fox and hounds restaurant!
