Norfolk Practical Karate

A lot of Shotokan Karate clubs concentrate on punching air and neglect the practical side of Karate. Training to improve techniques is important but how can a karateka ever know how effective their techniques are if they never get to test them against pads or other opponents. The Shotokan Katas encapsulate excellent self defence techniques which can be used in practical, real life situations where the opponent is nearly always in front of you. Graham and Neil are both very good instructors and excellent at imparting their knowledge of practical Karate in a safe environment. If you just enjoy Karate aerobics then this club is not for you but if you would really like to learn Karate as a form of practical self defence (as well as everything else Karate provides) then this is the club for you. After over 27 years of training in Shotokan Karate I still find myself learning and improving in nearly every lesson.
