Kennall Vale Nature Reserve
A beautiful place for a walk for an hour or two. Very peaceful with some really interesting history. An excellent time of year to go early spring when everything is just starting to come out with colour. Parking is limited around the residential areas, please be considerate.

Such an exquisite place being at one with nature. However if taking a mad spaniel be prepared for him/her jumping in the water filled quarry.

Absolutely stunning. Loads of paths, and loved walking along the river and exploring the old buildings

This place is amazing the only downfall is there is literally no parking. There are old ruin buildings and plenty of paths to walk along. It's a great place for all ages and a good place to take your dogThere's also plenty of benches along the way if you needed to rest on the journey

Kennall Vale Nature Reserve
What a treat. Not only a lovely walk in a nature reserve, but lots of hidden gems to come across. The access to this place is quite difficult to spot. It is on a narrow lane and there's not much in the way of parking, so be mindful of the locals, blocking driveways etc. You can see they have problems with the signs that are displayed. Well worth a visit though.

Fantastic place to visit. Full of history. Here gunpowder was produced until 1910. Now Mother Nature is clawing it all back...old derelict stone buildings and water channels. Beautiful. But you cannot park in the immediate vicinity...look for the notices. Great for dogs !

Lovely shaded woodland walk, which was ideal in the heat last week. It was cool to have a wander around and allowed for our dog to be off lead with some water for her to paddle in.There were a few steep slopes so be careful with young dogs or children they don't take a tumble like ours did. Also some of the ruins have some steep drops, which again small children or dogs could maybe get under so just keep an eye out.I imagine in winter it could get quite muddy as well, but perfect for a quick stop off for us to let the dog have a run around.
