We tried to buy a house through Frost Amersham last year that we were really keen on, offering full asking price immediately and increasing our offer by 35K when it went to best and final offers. We were chain free, cash buyers and on friendly terms with them. We were told by the branch manager Gemma Testa that the sellers had accepted a higher offer from another cash buyer. We were gutted but there was nothing we could do.Several months on and we now see from Land Registry records that the property was actually sold for 11K less than our best and final offer. We doubt very much now that our offer was submitted to the sellers, in 'favour' of the people who have ended up buying the property. You have to ask why??Buying and selling a house is one of the most important decisions in life and you want to be treated with honesty and integrity. We do not feel that we have been treated fairly and honestly. We would not recommend this outfit. There are other reputable estate agents in Amersham if you are thinking of buying or selling.
