Beechwood Surgery

This would be zero stars if that was an option - in the process of complaining to the Ombudsman that regulate them, they are the worst of the NHS whom I generally hold in high esteem, unfortunately this practice are an absolute nightmare, specifically exceptionally long hold times to get through to unprofessional rude individuals who either cannot or do not help at all. Refusing to give appointments or even repeat prescriptions that have been issued by a hospital

Completely inadequate resources for the area, meaning they'll give you an appt but not spend more than 3 minutes with you. I'm struggling with a chest infection and the asthma nurse simply listened to my chest and didn't ask me a single question about how I'm feeling and didn't give me any medication. I had lots to say to help get determine what medication to give me but I couldn't get a word in.

Completely waste of time!! Forget phoning the surgery as the phone is clearly left off the hook, I know this for a fact as when I have been waiting in the (ridiculously long) queue I called the surgery and it never even rang. In fact the 45 minutes I was in the surgery the phone never rang once.I only wanted to collect my partner’s repeat proscription and then two vital tablets wasn’t on there (requested by a specialist doctor from the hospital).

I rang surgery today regarding a repeat prescription query although after 4pm I was answered by Caroline who dealt with my enquiry very patiently and in a helpful manner thank you

21st October.Fantastic organisation for jabs today. In and out in a matter of minutes. Receptionists and nurses very helpful. Thank youThe receptionist on the phone was so helpful, she organised starting my repeat prescription without my having to go there. Excellent service and thank you.14th April. ...Again I phoned with a problem and the lady on the phone so helpful. The receptionists in the surgery also go out of their way to help. Saw Dr Haris this morning, very attentive and took his time to sort out my problems.9th May rang for my blood test results and the receptionist was so helpful in giving me the results.1st class service again. Thank you.

Speaking from my own personal experience ,I cannot praise the practice enough .Two years ago I had a major life changing operation ,the doctor quickly arranged tests , diagnosed the problem and this was all during lockdown.The care I recieved before,during and after surgery has been exemplary. Every member of staff I have dealt with has been brilliant with me.I rate them 20 out of 10.Ps if certain words are underlined it's because the phone has a fault lol.

I called at 11:38 to book an urgent appointment which was denied and I was told I needed to call before 11 am. However, the website clearly states that the time frame to make an appointment is 8:30 to 12.I appreciate the clinic is busy and they are working very hard, but it is not fair to deny urgent care due to their own mistake in communicating the correct times. Where else is people supposed to find the right information, if not on the website?On top of that not only I was denied an urgent appointment, I was gaslighted by the receptionist who told me I was checking the wrong website, even though it was the same website in which I found the clinic phone number, and I had it right in front of me. When I said I was 100% sure it was their website she dismissed me saying the website is wrong and I need to call back the next day.Appalling abusive behaviour.

I had issues with this surgery for 5 months now. Tried to get an appointment, and 2 months later after chasing them was told i had it already and missed it. No messages or calls. Later on booked another appointment for one date and have been re-booked a day before. Ok, I accept les this and changed my work so that went all fine, doctor was very nice. Tried to book another appointment for my first issue I had “missed appointment “ booked me on one date, same morning got message saying my appointment was moved. I work full time, and can’t just go whenever I want. Had a conversation with receptionist, was polite, she promised that a manager will give me a call back to see where the issue came from with first appointment. Had nothing back. And few weeks later received a random message saying I have been booked fir this date. No communication what so ever. I understand that doctors can have their issues sometimes, but they don’t take any responsibility and consideration for their actions.

The receptionist who I spoke to today laura was lovely and the doctor too ,doctors surgery get alot of negative reviews but I must say my experience today was worth a good review thank you beechwood surgery .
