Highridge Farm DIY camping and Shepherd Huts

We just stay few hours but Ned was very helpful and friendly. A beautiful view on the British countryside. We recommend it without hesitation. We will come back if needed for sure !

Loved it here... in the middle of nowhere!! Electric hook up 25 pounds a night with views to die for... quiet and tranquil. Clean shower and loos... we will be back!! Thank you

I recently stayed in the shepherd huts at Highridge Farm, they were wonderfully cosy and perfect for a couple of nights escape in to the countryside. Ned was the most welcoming and friendly host, taking the time to show me round. Not only this, but the views are spectacular with the farm sitting at the top of the ridge there are both views of the sunrise and sunset. Highridge Farm has everything you'll need and is topped off by incredibly friendly staff.

Motorhome review, don't go! Stunning views, gastro pub 5 mins walk. Go up the single track road, behind the pub. The last 500m is a steep very narrow single track road, the last 100m is so narrow that brambles caught on both sides of my van simultaneously (Peugeot Boxer van conversion). Van scratched down both sides, I'll upload a photo. We reached a point of no return , and couldn't viably reverse back. Check the very final approach on Google 'Streetview'. Shower was not good, so we used our own facilities. We wouldn't return.2 stars for the views.

We pitched our tent along with our friends, we had our grandchildren with us. The hosts could not been anymore welcoming then they were. What an amazing family, they all joined in to ensure we had the best time.The Grandchildren collected the eggs and met the giant tortoise.Back to basics with a lovely pub at the bottom of the hill.

What’s more to say other than it’s a little gem of a campsite! Perfect for that introduction to camping holidays Took my son for some bonding time, he loved the views the chickens, the cars and bikes, and not forgetting Frankie. What a place and some cracking memories for me and my lil boy to share. Thank you.

Great find. Easy going campsite, dog friendly and a great location. Within walking distance of local pub, also great. Would recommend and also revisit.

We had the BEST bank holiday weekend at Highridge Farm. Ned was superb, what a guy! The place is beautiful and full of little quirks which made the whole weekend for everyone so enjoyable. Definitely a hidden gem and one to try out with the family. All of us, adults and kiddies loved it. Thank you Ned for your hospitality and making everyone feel welcome. You’ve created something very special and should be very proud. We will be back very soon!
