Edina Spanish lessons

I'm grateful that a friend of mine, who is also learning Spanish recommended the services of Roberto as a professor. Classes are fun and engaging, with an emphasis on what is required for achievement of your goals. Between classes, there is communication between the student and professor with regards to homework set to reinforce new language structures. Taking everything into consideration, the service provides good value for money and would happily recommend Roberto to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish.

Roberto’s Spanish lessons are engaging, progressive and fun! I’ve learned a lot in a short period of time and Roberto provides just the right level of challenge to keep me improving without the pace of progression becoming overwhelming! I also really like how the lessons have been structured to include and prioritise the language skills that are going to be of most use to me. Roberto is also very patient, explains things clearly and takes time to make sure I understand everything fully. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the lessons — thanks Roberto and looking forward to learning more!

I started taking Spanish lessons with Roberto because I wanted to improve my conversational spanish. Even after YEARS of Spanish at uni, and technically knowing a lot of the grammar and vocabulary, I had never been confident or comfortable speaking.Roberto’s teaching style, friendliness and patience put me at ease instantly and my conversation skills improved faster than any time I had been learning Spanish before. Being able to have a good chat has made it so fun and easy to learn and Roberto is great at explaining specific grammar rules in an understandable and retainable way. He is a fantastic teacher and person, I highly recommend him!

My lessons with Roberto have been amazing! I am studying Spanish at uni and he helps me with reading through and understanding the literature both in terms of understanding the language but, also discussing it to broaden my views on the subject. The lessons are always fun, no pressure and sometimes it's great to just be able to chat for an hour or so in Spanish! Would 110% recommend!

Myself and my partner have been taking Spanish lessons with Roberto, for two years coming up.His hard work and dedication to us has giving us the ability to be able to speak, listen and read in Spanish which has helped us immensely on our trips to Spain.We are sometimes not the best students due to our work and life commitments but Roberto always gets us motivated and back on track.His passion and energy for languages and teaching is contagious and we always look forward to our next lesson and conversing with Roberto in Spanish.We couldn't recommend Roberto enough to be honest!He is also a very lovely lad!!

I’ve been taking spanish classes with Roberto now for over two years and in that time I’ve seen so much progress while also always finding the lessons extremely relaxed and fun. Roberto is a great teacher with excellent knowledge but also a very easy-going person. He puts you completely at ease and you learn when you don’t even know you’re doing it. I started taking online lessons with Edina Spanish about a year ago during lockdown and it's been a brilliant experience! I was a bit nervous at the start because I was a complete beginner and I'd never taken one-to-one language lessons before but my teacher Roberto was really friendly and encouraging. I've learnt loads since then and feel a lot more confident. The lessons are really fun and Roberto has lots of useful native speaker knowledge to share and creates a relaxed atmosphere. He also spent some time at the beginning chatting to me about what specific goals I had with the language and often plans lessons around these goals which is a great personal touch. I reached out to Roberto for Spanish lessons as it has been a dream of mine for a long time to be able to hold a conversation in a language other than my own.I was really apprehensive because I hadn’t studied Spanish for 6 years, since I took my GCSE at school (I am now a final year university student). Furthermore, I have bad previous experiences with language classes, which have made me feel self conscious about speaking with an accent. But I had absolutely nothing to worry about!I met Roberto for the first time at a local cafe and he instantly made me feel at ease. Within 10 minutes we were chatting away in (albeit broken) Spanish. He asked me lots of questions to ascertain the level I was roughly at, and proposed a plan outlining how he thought was best to proceed.Roberto is incredibly reliable and very fair and flexible with lessons. He regularly asks for feedback and adjusts the difficulty accordingly, so that I am challenged but not struggling - which suits me perfectly.I actually enjoy completing my homework and find it very rewarding when I see improvements in my ability.I speak for most of the hour in our lessons, and I am always encouraged to figure out the answer for myself if I do not know it straight away.Overall, I really couldn’t recommend Roberto enough! I have new found confidence in my Spanish and I thoroughly enjoy our lessons.
