After checking a few websites, I found Leaf had a portfolio of work with a style much like I was hoping to achieve. My initial meeting with Richard turned my rather simple ideas into a far more interesting concept. Upon seeing his initial proposal I could tell I’d definitely chosen the right Architect for the job. Richard came up with a scheme that was beyond my expectations and will turn my home into something far better than I could have imagined. I’ve found Richard easy to work with, plus his network of contacts in the building trade have helped enormously. We engaged Richard from Leaf Architecture to design a contemporary family house replacing a 1950’s bungalow. We found Richard a pleasure to work with and are delighted with the results he delivered which was a fantastic design that ticks all our boxes plus ensured we enjoyed every step to get there.Richard is never afraid to challenge or to be challenged, he is a true professional who is passionate about what he does and finds the right balance of being true to his design whilst also listening to you and ensuring the end result is exactly what you want. We provided a simple brief for the renovation/extension of our 1970’s ex vicarage to a short list of architects and met with 3 to discuss their ideas. We immediately hit it off with Richard, his energy and enthusiasm were super, he took on board our suggestions while also providing some great input for different ways of achieving our aims. His costs were very fair and the meticulous detailed drawings and specifications he produced proved to be invaluable with the subsequent build. While we didn’t contract with him for project management or support he was always very helpful with recommendations on products and tradesmen whenever we needed any assistance....in short an ideal partner who we can thoroughly recommend.

We were recommended to Leaf Architecture after a disastrous experience with our first architect. We came to Richard with a fully approved set of plans which were soon discarded in favour of a design more sympathetic to the site location and features. From the minute Richard walked through the door we knew he had something special. He took our needs for now, and the future, and produced our own unique design.Apart from our first on site meeting we were restricted by Covid lockdown but we never felt we missed out in any way, with regular telephone conference calls and ideas passing between us.
